Thank you. I am trying to incorporate these more this year. I know I also have viewers who love the longer, full garden tours where I get into every little detail, so I will try and do both. Thanks for the encouragement! :)
Long comment here: Great video! My hands are itching to get started! I'm VERY new to this whole growing thing but I do have two raised beds in my yard where I planted some tomatoes that did great last year. However, my raised beds are actually raised. They are not on the ground. I never tested my soil in my yard and I don't want to grow anything that I'm going to eat in soil that I have no idea what's in it. So I have organic soil for growing fruits and vegetables in those beds. I do need some advice, however. Lately, we've had an annoying squirrel problem in our yard where I grow the tomatoes. I can't close it up with chicken wire because the tomatoes have to grow. Do you have any ideas on how I can keep the squirrels out? They don't eat the tomatoes but they dig so many holes in the bed and it's really irritating. Any help is much appreciated. Can't wait to start my garden along with you! 🌱
Hi Jennifer! Thanks for your question. Depending on where you live, and what type/size of squirrel they are, you may benefit from setting up an owl box near your garden. Encouraging predatory birds to come around is often a great way to control rodents in a natural way. You can do some research on your local species and different methods of trying to get them to come by. Laying chicken wire or rodent mesh on top of your soil around the base of the plants may be the best way to prevent them digging in it.
I love the condensed, relaxed yet short and sweet 'cuppa break' length of your videos :) very viewer friendly.

@@TheMintedMaiden I love both. It's great to have that flexibility. :)

@@TheMintedMaiden Thanks! I'll try the owl box. Sounds like a nice way to also add some decor to the garden. 😊
Bok choy grows here?
Yes it grows very well! You have to start it early! Does not like the heat. Plant soon, harvest in March-May then grow more in fall.
