How do you not like my hair? It’s honestly my favorite track on the album. As a millennial born in 1993 it reminds me of 90’s and early 2k r&b and neo soul. It’s soooooo good. Might need to get your ears checked lol
@@eliazzz______ Hmm I'll have to watch the tour on Netflix then. From what I remember the only thing she said to us was something like "How are you LA?!" 😂
@jacobreacts ik you liked two and you didn't appreciate anything to do with vocals but only lyrics, which ofc you wouldnt like because she's a straight female and you're the opposite. i can just tell you think Taylor is superior which annoys me as an Ariana grande fan but we'll each have our own thoughts
thank u so much for ur honest opinion. It was the same thing for me with Taylor. I am not used to her type of music, but i always listen to her albums with open mind and enjoy at least half of an album. It's about person's individual interests in genres and writing styles. OFC Ariana can write excellent ballads and Taylor can easily sing badass banger-hits. That's what i love about music and artists. They can be so different, but all that they do is ART. Music is art and u can feel that.
Loved your review but I do think you overanalyzed most of the songs you said you didn't like. Also you swifties tend to tag lyrics that are just fun and not "over descriptive" as bad. A song lyric doesn't have to be too complicated to make it a good song
Yeah that’s why it feels off. It needs an India.Arie or Brandy on it. Sounds eh coming from Ariana . And I say this as a fan (she will probably be one of my top artists this year) .
i feel like you dont like the songs catered towards the black community, which ariana's said inspires her a lot! you wont like a lot of her albums because she works with a lot of black producers/writers who typically have a funk/r&b/trap sound. its okay if its not your style but a lot of arianas black fans love when she puts out albums like these because she sounds best working with this genre, she isnt mocking, doing it poorly or superficially, she actually gets black artists to work with her to refine the sound, its very refreshing actually
The few songs I didn’t like had nothing to do with the production choices that you’re mentioning (funk/r&b,trap) …I’m pretty sure I said the production was excellent in this album??? Pretty much the only negative thing I said was the lyrics weren’t deep (which I actually complimented several times….) I love that people love this album (I really loved more than half of the album too, which makes all the comments even more confusing to me) It seems like people watched the intro where I said I was bored at her concert & then stopped and commented. 🤷♂️
@@jacobreacts no i watched the reaction and i actually have been watching a couple of your videos, i like that you’re broadening your scope! but r&b/funk isn’t just about production, the lyrical content definitely matters, and again, ariana works with black writers when delving into these genres. and you didn’t specify your reasons for every single song, so i just assumed holistically, you just didn’t like a couple songs where i saw a pattern - they were mostly the trap songs. i’m not saying it’s an issue, but a lot of white fans rejected this album whereas POC fans thought it was her best work, because it felt really authentic to the genre which is rare from white artists nowadays, who use black music as a gimmick.
as a big ariana fan i absolutely adore this album, it’s not my favourite from her (that would be sweetener) but i think it’s such a huge departure from her usual sound a lot of her fans and the gp were turned away but i love it because im a huge fan of this soft r&b style she was going for in the album
Is it because I started by saying something about her concert? I was vibing/dancing to almost every single song (even the ones I didn’t love) so confused why there are so many negative comments when I had almost only positive things to say about this album 😅
The only song i like from this album is pov 😂 then again im not really an ariana fan so i actually hadnt listened to the album before this. Sort of reacted to it with you lol. But my hair is... eh. Her voice is impressive but other than that my hair is not something i would listen to. The only one I would actually listen to is also pov 😅 I hear the influence of Mariah in her music/vocals
These comments are weird. Some of yall are implying racism just because he's not stanning a white girl cosplaying as black in her songs. Stop using black people for your own agendas. Your fav is not his fav. Get over it.
@@gravityblue3329 I know what RnB music is. I grew up on it. My point is Ariana's not black yet her fans are so mad about somebody not caring for her music that they're trying to bring race into it. So yeah, I said what I said.
What are you implying? Lots of the music I react to (& love!) has “black influence,” except it is usually sung by black artists. Maybe Ariana’s are a “miss” for me because these influenced tracks are coming from a white woman, making them feel less genuine 🤷♂️ Such a weird thing to say regardless
@@jacobreactswhat a weak take lmaooooo she writes music w her bestfriends who are black so the solution would be to leave black people out of her production? Sounds anti-
@@jacobreactslets stop and not let YOU, a white man, be the judge of her genuineness because people who are actually in love with this project are black people, and believe me when i say this, those are not misses by any means. as i said, it was weird how you only liked the ones that were not influenced by the culture. you connect the dots.
Ariana has the best discography and voice in modern day pop

right!! love that song
no shade but how do u have fun at a taylor concert and not an ariana concert😭
I don’t really want to compare them but I feel like Ariana didn’t interact with the crowd/talk at all so it felt more like a singalong 🤔
righttt😭

not surprised when you hate 80% of the songs, your world revolves around tiktok and taylor swift lol
Interesting takeaway, especially because in the video I'm pretty sure I said I liked more than half of the album...

love language isn't a sample at all, but the intro/ beat was a tik Tok trending audio, hence why you have probably heard it
yeah he dont like the lyrics but he likes when taylor says "i left my jacket at your sister's house 🤓👆🎸"
She has a similarity of style of mariah when layering vocals
she's just a copycat, mixed with judy garland and audrey hepburn

i think it really is a hit or miss album but its my personal favorite . It’s more for the fan of rnb i’d say 😭
