the insta 360 really makes it look fast, but i still prefer the go pro footage.
Usually the 360 footage makes me dizzy and I rather prefer the normal GoPro stuff. But I rekon that setup looks pretty good 👍🏻

Just got myself an X3 because it's so much more versatile than the GoPro but also cheaper, stoked to try it on my next ride!
I’m liking the 360 mode. Haven’t seen it mounted pointed out from under the visor like that.

love my One X2! unable to upgrade right now but i can say it never had any issues with freezing up, corrupt files etc. the 360 mode is so useful since i can just reframe any way i like it after and i don't have to worry about the camera pointing in the right direction or angle. caught some crazy crash clips to the side that otherwise would've been lost with just a front-facing mode or action cam.
Love how the mud splatter on the camera had some solid line choices

The entrance trail you were on, Larry Bremnar, I thought was deactivated to bikers - horse only trail now. There is a new entrance to Rip n' Dip called Blue Suede Shoes, entrance is to the left of where you guys were dropping in :) Nice riding, great video!

The insta360 is sick
I like the 360 mode, but the single lens isn’t wide enough compared to the grpro. In my opinion if you are going to is the insta 360 only use the 360 lens.
360 looks interesting but I don't know if it's the lack of lighting or the camera but I don't think it looks very crisp. I'm sorry for not jumping on the 360 cheer leader wagon just yet like everyone else here (as it seems).
I like the new setup, both cam and bike! Can you tell me more about the wind covers you have on the Insta360?

It may have nice features, but too bad the image(and audio) quality is no where near as good as the GoPro.

I just took my X3 out for it's first ride and I was a bit bummed with how it all looked. Do you mind sharing some of your other settings while filming? Like ISO or shutter speed? Or do you leave that on auto?
I do all auto and vivid colour setting. I’ll do -0.5 Ev if I’m out in bright open light
When will you try the fork and wheel from the Chilcotin since it seemed you liked the mullet or is the Chilcotin long gone?

Seems like the best combo might be video from the X3 and audio from a gopro. The audio from the X3 just isn't that great even with the hairs glued on there.
Really annoying that TH-cam puts all videos at 720p as standard now for a while for me…

I don’t know if it’s just me but watching Nick do that table reminds. me of a episode of drop-in TV where the free ride legend Steve Romanack was sending A sketchy wooden Gap jump in the fog which the Landing was half in to pieces but he still sent it Anyway after a couple of jumps he destroyed it And a shout out to mother nature‘s for the mud spot at 1:20 Dead Center. shot lol

Hope you know the answer- What happens when you mount the 360X3 horizontal, I was thinking of buying the insta 360 aluminum cage for it that allows sideways mounting so its not so "floppy" and lower pro to mount on helmets etc... does it affect the footage in single lens or is it smart enough to know its sideways in single lens? thanks
You can mount it any way you want, it knows to flip it!

I think you’d have to ask RRP. I believe the zebs all had different spacing or something along those lines.
360 is good, but the Gopro is still better. Also, Gopro audio is still far superior
