I make this suggestion a lot to you tube guitar teachers. Start by giving us a taste of the groove before you get in the weeds. But you are obviously a good teacher. Onward!
Спасибо за вашу работу, напишу несколько слов в поддержку канала. Я хоть и понимаю вас только через слово, но кажется, мне срочно надо научиться играть на гитаре😊
Please play the complete Song in the beginning. Would be helpful to catch the feeling, the idea and understand the structure of the Song. Greetings from Germany:-)
Nice work on the intro riff. I would have liked to see it expanded to the rhythm part of the song as well. I can’t really sing to just the RIFF. Maybe a short easy lead lesson as well.
Love your videos, although one request would be could you please play whatever you are teaching as a demo at the start of the video. It's very helpful to see that at the start.
Great video! Very cool! Keep the vids coming! um...Wowee! Tough one! Couldn't find nothing harder eh? Really tough on a box guitar too. That intro on the two thin strings is a "shuffle beat." You'll hear shuffles a lot on the drums high hat.
Thanks! Gotta agree with earlier comment that it would help if you would play song @ beginning so user can hear and see what they will be learning. Thanks so much !
Hey thanks for the feedback! The demo is at the end of the explanation so i would recommend watching the tutorial to the end and then rewatching! I’ll add a timestamp for the demo
I think if a person is teaching Pride and Joy to someone, they shouldn’t need to explain things like hammer on’s and pull off’s etc.. If a player doesn’t already know what those are he ( or she) probably isn’t ready for that song. Total beginner tutorials can be boring if they repeat things too often or don’t move along at a decent pace, that’s what the rewind button is for. Long live SRV.
@@biguniversemusic I saw what you’re calling the demo and it doesn’t help at all because it’s slowed down so much and it also doesn’t included the opening lick. You’re just confusing your students.
Too much talking. Start backwards and reveal what the final version should sound like. I know no more about what this should sound like than Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
on youtube we have to be careful because if we play through an entire song, sometimes the video can be flagged for copyright infringement. this can put our channel at risk of being taken down.
Cool vid but...always play through what you are about to teach just once so we know where you are going with your lesson. That way we know how YOU play it and can recognize what you are doing. Otherwise we're trying to apply your lesson and imagine SRV playing it. Always always always play quickly through once first.
I bought my niece a used fender squier from Amazon about $200...still had the plastic on the fretboard. A lot easier to learn on. Search Amazoln, "Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster Electric Guitar, with 2-Year Warranty, 3-Color Sunburst, Laurel Fingerboard" $188.88

Great video! Everyone's teaching style is going to differ, you just keep doing you! I'm really glad I found this channel, thank you!

@@michaelthomas1014 hey chopper!!!! Good to hear from you ♥️ still playin?
Works for me. Thanks. Just slow enough.
excellent! enjoy it!
More than a feeling by Boston is a good on too. Main riff is a lot easier too. I saw in a video last week, they said all beginners need to learn it.
Thank you. Sheesh, the critics are out in full force
haha yes there's a lot of people out there who sure know a lot!!! :-D
Well, they are playing Stadiums, but watching Beginner Lessons😂😂😂 You did fine, especially for true Beginners. They can grasp this
New Sub here BTW

Where were you in the 80s when I was trying to learn this?
Wow! Perfect pitch! Nice guitar too. Is it a D28 Herringbone?
om 28 :)
Your audio is cavernous , like a dorm hallway 😊
haha yes you're right this space is not treated for sound!
I made that song my own😊
yes!!
I suggest start by playing the hole song through first to start the video.
Can't please everyone so you got to please your self
Nothing wrong with baby stepping, especially w/SRV.
👍👍
Please play your version at speed, then explain..❤ TY

You should play a run through before getting into the lesson. Players want to hear it first to get a feel for the way you play it.
I agree had to move on

@@twoweary I try not to assume much but previous knowledge in my lessons to make it accessible to anyone ♥️
Nowhere in the video do you play the whole piece non stop at speed. The lesson is like trying to put a jigsaw puzzle together in slow motion.
It’s a beginner version so this is slowed down! The demo is at 7:39

Not a bad lesson. But we need to also see it a normal speed.
thanks for the feedback. I'll consider this for future videos. hope you enjoyed the lesson!
Play it slow to learn it quicker. Speed comes with relaxation later
I think you should play the song first. Then we can decide if we like it and want to learn your version.

Great instruction but your speaking voice often sounds echoey. Hard to stay till end.
None of the lessons, including this one, show where and how the lyrics and melody occur so we can learn to play the song.

Show the riffs in real time before you slowly show what you are doing, that way people that never heard the song can understand the vibe eaiser
