Very cleverly produced. Such a shame all this is lost.

Really enjoyed that. Did the Hornsea trip and the Withernsea trip a few times as a child. Shame it's not the same today, these branch lines would have been perfect for people. Short sighted governments as usual.

Thick & stupid governments to be precise.

This was wonderful! Went to Hornsea many times as a child and always on the train. We lived in Sutton. I have to watch again as there was so much of interest to see. loved the music too

Fabulous work. Really took me back to taking the train to Whitedale and walking with Grandad to his house in Withernwick, seemed like such an adventure to a 6 year old. Thanks.

The seaside towns like Hornsea, Withernsea all lost the rails and in today's world could have helped boost visitors since. Withernsea and Hornsea are awful now it's a shame how they have turned out as well.
Go to the beach all you can see out on the horizon is wind turbines for miles. The town centres with empty shops and amusements nearly falling apart.
Hull should have had a station that went right through a bit like leeds, then it would have been major east coast line

Brilliant idea! Unless you knew the route you'll miss essential details - you had the train passing Stepney Lane in the wrong direction... An old photo of the impressive overbridge crossing before Botanic gardens would had added atmosphere...

Thanks. I will likely rerelease some of these videos once I have the channel more firmly built up. I think a late night edit might have brought about some of those errors!

It would be interesting to see some of the West Riding routes - eg Wakefield via Ossett to Dewsbury Central and Batley.

So sad when the rest of the world was investing in railway networks and we were sending advisors everywhere to help then the good old Tories were saving money here by making cuts

The 'good old' Labour party did the same... Lack of foresight among those in power.
