@@deautrs79 No, Hogan didn't take it too far at all, if anything he was extraordinarily gentle. That was a basic Wrestling 101 hold, Hulk cinched it in to make it a bit uncomfortable but there was no way Belzer should have gone out that quickly. Reason he did was because he was presumably coked up to the gills, Belzer was a noted fan of the 80s party scene, the coke had pushed his heart rate up significantly, and when your heart goes like that and you're put in a headlock it tends to put you out like a light switch. Hulk let him go like that because he didn't realize Belzer was unconscious, most people wouldn't be.
@@FerretJohn I see what you’re saying but your heart rate going up because of drugs and your wind pipe being cute off are two different things also because Hogan is a pro he should know how a limp body feels when someone is in a standing choke hold. I could see if they were on the ground but come on man I could also see if it was an MMA fight and his adrenaline was pumping and the person is trying to fight back, that’s also different because you’re trying to purposely choke the person out when in that position Hogan knew what he was doing
We might all be commenting from Belzer's afterlife. Letting him fall that way on that floor, was probably worse hit than Bob Sagat's fall. Belzer's wake up reaction actually very funny. Meanwhile universe really cleaned Bollea's mess.
So I don't like Belzer. At all. But its very clear, whether it was obvious or not, that Hulk Hogan not only decided to a sleeper hold but just let him drop. That's where the fault lies...not how stupid he was in his interaction, or how bad a host he is, or that his retelling is not accurate. You injure someone, you're liable. Period.
thanks for making a reasonable comment. so many people have really weird opinions on this situation from reading the comment section. He let a guy drop who he had obviously knocked out onto the hard floor. He was the 'pro' wrestler who should have known better than to put a sleeper hold on a 100 pound dude.
Hogan didn’t let him drop, he loosened the hold but the guys body weight made him slide out and fall. Hogan didn’t know he went out. It’s hard to tell sometimes.
Right. He should've punched him in his face instead of doing the safest thing. Hogan should've known that Belzer was the weakest person to ever live apparently.
This little weasel begged for a move to be demonstrated on him. Did Hogan apply too much force of course he did but I don't think he thought it would knock him out, he would have held him up rather than just release him IMO. The moral is don't ask for a 300lb wrestler to place you in a hold.
The first, and last time Hogan put a normie in a wrestling hold Belz asked for that smoke, and he got smoked. What's he complaining about? He got all the publicity in the world! Before that, nobody knew he even had a show!

It seems that Hogan was already mad at Belzer for arguing with Mr. T. So when he performed that headlock on him, Hogan figured this is his chance to get even.
Why was Belzer lying about this? The tape is on You Tube of him asking; no; GOADING Hulk to do a wrestling move. Then suing him? Hulk did make an error in agreeing to do the move. Terry is used to working with athletes, not coked up 135 pound weaklings. At the very least he should have anticipated Belzer clocking out FAST and been ready to ease him down. So besides Law and Order What else did he do?Hollywood jackass
Mr. T had nothing to do with you getting choked out. You was embarrassed af.
I like how in the actual video this dude was being a dick Hulk Hogan even said we got to be careful because the floor is hard and I don't want you getting hurt and he said I don't want you to get hurt lol you should have listened
Funny how his story grew in this interview compared to his others.
I saw the other interviews. He didn't mention anything backstage prior to the incident or when he was in the hospital in those.. Hogan was a dick who got baited.. You're gonna kill a dude cause he used a partially intelligent word you didn't know?
Okay man.
yea imma buttfuck hulk hogan hes a lowlife murderer
@@rhey81 THATS NOT WHAT HAPPENED BELZER LIED TO ADD A MOTIVE TO IT HE KEPT AT HOGAN ASKING HIM TO DO A DEMINSTRATION AND YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE BELZER FAKED THAT.
Kill him? Lmao stop being such a puss his life was never in danger and the host was talking about Mr T not knowing the “intelligent word” exclaimed
So why did he sue?🤔
cuz he's a vindictive jerk
1:49 look at Hulks eyes
He wanted a wrestle demonstration, he got a good one 😂
Got what you wanted, disrespectful chump. God bless Hulk and Mr T
Why don't you say that to someone your own size you insignificant dip ass.
Hogan needed the lesson with the lawsuit, Belzer maybe needed the lesson too
HOGAN WAS SET YOU MORON
I hope they both learned something
I feel you but there are a lot of tv host that ask athletes to do stuff like this, Hogan took it too far. I’ve seen reports ask Tyson to demonstrate a punch combo on them but Tyson didn’t go all out and knock them out….he shadowed boxed or walked them through the combo and just pointed out spots on their body that he would hit, and he placed his fist on their body lol he didn’t go ok I’ll show you 100% body head body lmao
"I had a dream I was a real man and not a snot-nosed fuck-stick who was literally broken in half in under 15 seconds..... then I woke up."
Hahaha
You put someone in a sleeper and they go out it doesn't matter how tough you are and yeah 15 seconds is all it takes.
Blezer is full of it
You asked him to put the move on. He didn't say it
He's so full of shit and twisted the entire story!!!!
It says a lot about a man to sue another man for getting choked out in what was meant to be a lighthearted gimmick.
People should know their own strength and know when to dial it back or Hogan shouldn't have demonstrated anything.
The fact this has 14 thumbs up is astounding.
Correct it was the dropping onto to the floor. He did that on purpose and he knew Belzer was out. "Hogan" was a trained pro.
Right. He should've punched him in his face instead of doing the safest thing. Hogan should've known that Belzer was the weakest person to ever live apparently.
People like this guy forget that your mouth can/will get you in trouble and that people don't have to be screaming angry to be violent.
This little weasel begged for a move to be demonstrated on him. Did Hogan apply too much force of course he did but I don't think he thought it would knock him out, he would have held him up rather than just release him IMO. The moral is don't ask for a 300lb wrestler to place you in a hold.
Omg the same jokes in every vid I watch with this guy.
literally show biz is in my blood its on my jacket its on the floor hurr hurr what a douchebag lol
5 Million he got for that .........the show: Hot Properties- March 27, 1985 (partial) - TH-cam
Wow!
@@jimmyc6686 I recall Hogan saying it was more like $500,000 that Belzer got.
There's only one person at fault here... One guy was forced to do something he didn't even want to do ... Ill give you one hint brother!
The jerk was asking for it! He should feel lucky, because he actually got off alot easier than he should have.
lol I 100% agree
The first, and last time Hogan put a normie in a wrestling hold
Belz asked for that smoke, and he got smoked.
What's he complaining about? He got all the publicity in the world!
Before that, nobody knew he even had a show!
Love the brainwashed hulk idolizers justifying what hulk did to this man, regardless of the context. It was barbaric and unnecessary, not to mention it was intentional.
Belzer was the one who kept asking Hulk to do it. Hulk didn't want to and even commented on the hard floor. Watch the actual video before you comment.
He’s such a tool
How do people spend like 6 mill in a year? That would last me a lifetime easy
+Watery Squirt By buying things most of us have no intention of buying.
He bought a giant house in France.
It was only 400k I think. That was settlement out of court.
@@TheFailedmessiah $400,000 is the minimum he received. He sued Hogan for 5 million, and Hogan claimed the settlement was actually 5 million. So could have been more, maybe not. Even still, that 400k then would be around 900k today.
congratulations, you're first steps in becoming a man
I give him credit for taking the bump. imagine what would happen now a days.
really, Hogan would be in jail. lol
@Phyoomz Conor McGregor threw dollies at busses injuring people including women, beat up an old man in a bar for refusing his Whiskey, and hasn't spent a day in jail. Depends on who the person is apparently
RIP to the man. But, Belzer was a weird "comic", more of a humorist. Never really did anything funny and after this controversy he went to dramatic acting.
Who is Richard Belzer
Hulk hogan's face when he's see the back of dudes head is like OH SHIT😮
That was so unprofessional Hogan.
Belzer didn't know how to tap out.
Well...he decided to antagonize them and shit happened.
To everyone who is trying to exculpate Hogan -- after watching the footage, what was or wasn't said is irrelevant. You must proffer that Hulk Hogan doesn't know what the human head is for.
Typical Hollywood Democrat I watch the video with my own eyes and bellsher story was the exact opposite
Belzer is a liar....he egged it on, got over his head and paid the price....rip
It seems that Hogan was already mad at Belzer for arguing with Mr. T. So when he performed that headlock on him, Hogan figured this is his chance to get even.
Get even!!!!😅
Hulk didn’t say let’s do the demonstration. You asked him to demonstrate. Why did this guy lie.
Beltzer is a tool He left comedy for a reason
Why was Belzer lying about this? The tape is on You Tube of him asking; no; GOADING Hulk to do a wrestling move. Then suing him? Hulk did make an error in agreeing to do the move. Terry is used to working with athletes, not coked up 135 pound weaklings. At the very least he should have anticipated Belzer clocking out FAST and been ready to ease him down. Both sides we're wrong, but don't lie and say it was Hogan's idea.
What a lame a ss to sue for getting what you asked for. He literally asked hulk to do it. Oh the 90s he thought it wouldn’t be seen again in full
That's that's why I hulk Hogan dropped him because he was talking alot of stuff out his mouth judging them because of their career choices.
Vince covered half the cost didn't even get his name on the house
I would like to see a special anniversary encounter between these two... And Hogan could do us a favor and finish the job. Funny how THIS was the biggest thing in Belzer's entire career... Figures.
You know he was on Law & Order SVU for like 17 years right?
Geeksiders Ahh... Big deal... He still can't apply a good camel clutch! Lol.
Haha! Very true
Isnt he dead
Keegan Scales nope. He's 73 and still kickin
Dude got his head cracked open and still comes on national television to be a complete smart ass about it
You was talking shit to Mr. T before hulk hogan came on
He said He was Channeling Farrakan
I once caught my friend on a sleeper hold. Man he was unconscious for almost 6 minutes. Fast forward 2022, he still hold grudges and keep repeating the scenario.
He should. Why would you put your friend out unless he asked to be put out?
Did he sue you? Lol
Hahaha first time I got choked out in jujitsu I had a dream I was out for 6 seconds and had a dream that felt like eternity. To say the least you wake up humbled lol
Vince McMahon wasnt gonna fire his Golden Goose. Dr D. Schultz wasnt so lucky........
Hulk forgot he was not on a canvas floor in the ring. But a hard concrete floor.
Beltzer let things percolate... He did not deescalate the situation and asked for it.
