dougo your getting to be quite the film maker keep it up always a joy to watch
Love Dougo stopping in the the Deere dealership and teasing the salesman. Thanks for the road trip Dougo.
THAT is what I admire. The ability to take a "kit", that might, almost, work, and MAKE it work!! THAT is the farmer/rancher way of doing things. I swear every one needs a pile of scrap around to fabricate parts and machines that just don't come for that job. Good job guys. Now, lets see how it does with 20,000 bushels on top of it when a chunk of solidified crust falls in there. (hope you never need to find out) I like watching you FIND a solution to the many every day problems that come up. Thanks for taking me along, again.
,, All I could think of when Chet first said "clumps or whatever", was the pail with a bunch of bolts from a different bin project, trying to exit the bin.....
The best part of the video with Dougo driving to Siuox Falls... the Little Tree Air Freshner swinging back and forth right behind his head. I'll send some more this week. That trailer has more new rivets than an aircraft carrier!
The new toy is an induction heater. Passes electric current through the coils which creates a magnetic field and heats up any metal that ends up in the field.
2nd one right here! Dougo, that is the same look I give when I see those large pinwheels!
Awesome video guys. DougO' seeing shinny new farm equipment is like a kid seeing a new toy at the store. Think DougO' gets distracted easier than a kid.
🚜🚜🚜
Hey, I grew up in Sioux Falls, SD, back in the '70s, and then moved to GA I'd had enough of the snow.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
Thanks to Dougo for taking us along to Sioux Falls and the trailer place. The repairs you showed us look pretty darn good. Nice trailer now. Thanks Dougo.
Thanks for showing us the upgrades to the corn sweeps. Looks great. Should work good. Nice job installing all of you.
About it I guess. Thanks for everything Larsons.
The Iowa Farm Boy.
Doug driving by those eyesores in the corn field, I just realized that I am on the exact same wave length is Dougo!
Doug , you do a great job on your vlogs. It's a pleasure to watch you.
Godspeed
We had our Wilson rebuilt on the sub frame a few years ago by a professional welding shop. It is cheaper than going to a trailer dealer ($5,000). The wilson dealer in our area was going to charge about 15k to redo it and we got it done for just under 10. If possible go to a fab shop. They are great.
I don’t think we’ve ever met Steve the trucker before! We need a segment lol
Every salesman inside Kibble's when a Larson Farms truck pulls in 🤩
Sometimes buying used is just buying someone else's problems.
always
You don't get rid of something usually for nothing
Almost always
At 17:36 that's my 4630 I just traded off! 😂 that kibble is in the town I live in
The Eyes says it all, Thanks Dougo !!!
I was impressed with the repairs done to the grain trailer. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
My best friend in the Army was from Sioux Falls. I drove there from Ohio to visit him and wife after my discharge, after 18 months in South Korea where we met. Robert D Roskens was his name
Really enjoyed the visit with Doug! Excellent video!
Thanks for sharing better make sure the door spikes don’t hit the auger you put in I noticed several corn and bean fields starting to turn here in southern Indiana won’t be long before the farmers are harvesting thanks for sharing
GREAT JOB FROM MY SEAT BE SAFE GOD BLESS, YOU DID A GREAT JOB GETTING EVERYONE TOGETHER DOUG YOUR ARE A GREAT MAN AND FATHER GOD BLESS
I like the way y'all work smarter, and harder when needs be. The preventative measures help out so much in the long run. Doug-o, trailer looks really nice. As a trucker's son working on/ maintaining trailers was a must. I hope harvest goes well.
Awesome video guys.
Met you guys at the Farm show today!!! Great people 💯 thanks for chatting for awhile keep up the content
Hey Dougo thanks for taking me along in your Pete to pick up your trailer. It sure looked like a new one. What a nice rig. I wish that I was younger and lived up in your neck of the woods. I sure would enjoy driving for you guys. Great bunch of guys and a super channel. We love it! Cool video. 👍❤️
Great video as.always.
thank you
We made our own sump savers for all our bins. Little tri pod steel things. I think theyve saved us a few times
Chet Dougo Eric Broodie great explanations and great job enjoyed it thank you for sharing and your time was really great never miss a video and can't wait for next video
I once saw a sign in a workshop "Quality, Speed, Cost. You can pick two."
I almost thought Dougo had suddenly decided he loved livestock and decided to visit Mt Vernon for some Angus cattle.
You know Brian would set him up.
Good, Fast Cheap was NASA's moto in the 80's. Well you know what happened to the space shuttle - Kaboomy. They forgot the second part of the saying - PICK TWO.
Good show
Thanks another great video
I injoyed hanging out at the salford booth
Hello Larson's and everyone else perfect timing for a video 👌
perfect video quality ride out with the legend dougo
Good stuff guys
Nice job Chet!!!
I believe this, good luck
I dont understand how that works, but it still looks great. thank you guys for the video
wish I could of saw you guys today at the farm progress show
Literally just found your channel! Instant subscribe! Those little welders are great if you have a heavy enough cord going to it! I’m sure you guys have a 30amp 110 source out there! That with a good heavy cord and that lil machine will sing for what it is!! Awesome channel awesome content! I miss farming! The family used to have almonds out here on the west coast but those orchards are long gone and houses now. Sad!
The wind mill electricity generators look awesome spotted across he countryside don't they. So much better than a huge dirty smog and poison belching coal fired power station. At the end of the day, who cares where you electricity comes from, as long as it comes... and clean is better.
your right. the issue is storage or the energy irduring inclement weather and or not enough wind or sunlight to make collection worth while
that little storage box for the chain is probably the best idea with that kit
No kidding, I guarantee that if you tried keeping that chain in the shop it'd vanish in 0.02 seconds.
Yep and farther gone than 10 mil sockets. 🤣
Never to be seen again.
Enjoyed watching the video Çhet 😊
Great video
So nice to meet you all at the Farm Progress show, genuine decent people like you are what the world needs more of.
Oh Dougo, lmao "if you know you know " yes I was going to say. Your landing gear sounds kinda dry. Might need some grease. And the window shopping as your going by a Deere dealer. The Dougo cam is always awesome. Stay safe everyone.
Hell yea that was badass!!!
Those induction heating tools are awesome
Until they blow up in a grain bin because that happened to my family and it was bad
Was I the only one who heard duggo’s story about leaving the “flarm” 😂😂
All love my guy
Kudos to Larson Farms for fun and informative videos. You all rock!!
Dougo Love the face of accepting the wind farm!! 😂😂😂
sounds like you have a good rebuilt trailer
M18 tripod lights are awesome! Get a few. You will not know how you lived without them.
saw your dad at the farm progress show to day in Illinois
Dougo, cover that rear sub frame above the tires it looks like you could, and it would save it from salt.
Well I’m glad you all ask 😂 your the man DougO
sweet!!
I’m a pilot and I don’t own a bin but now I'm debating if I need to get one to just put in my garage
Got to love it eh.
O I'm sure they'd be happy to send you out of there with a new trailer
I saw those sideways eyes at the wind turbines... lol Hey, August is definitely the month for low output from wind for electricity generation. No question. Still generated over 10% of US electricity in 2022 full year (and much better months) factored in...
Iv been to timpte once before to pickup a new hopper bottom but it was over in David City Nebraska
When saw the coupler chain, I wondered where a good storage place would be until it was needed. Then I saw the storage box installed on the door. Best idea! ( I would still probably accidently leave it in my pants pocket and run it through the wash. )
Get your order in for a new 715 Quadtrac??? LOL!!!
It’s not the welder. Maybe the WELDIE those are great little machines. Not like your melting one inch plate There’s no substitute for practice just clean your pieces real good. Keep having fun😎
Yea Dougo like a kid in a candy store you was looking JD 😂
The Big Swede should do an Engineering YT Short on how induction heaters work !!!!
Careful how close you get them to bearings
Chet i worked with the mini ductor .it will heat it cherry red
Trouble with your landing gear on your trailers is people over grease them. Pull the top covers off of them and dump some diesel fuel in there it will thin out the grease and they will work like new.
Magnifique montage pour les cilo à céréales et le camion et la remorque est bien équipés 😅😊😂
Once again the boys at Larson Farms getting some mechanical equipment installed by themselve.
Chet and Big Swede getting it done while we get to go an a road trip with Big Daddy Dougo.
Nice episode to watch in the waiting room at Bascolm Palmer for eye surgury.
Always love Doug 😅😂
given the acoustics in the bin, you guys should sing while working
Hey Doug or Chet you call Jerry at Central Trailer Service in Altoona IA. I’ll tell you how to fix those legs in 20 minutes 👍🏻
Definitely want to see a video of that sweep in action after removing that much flighting away from the sump
,, I agree, and don't see the reason for leaving the chains off to disengage the paddles, could just as well run all the time, why not?
Induction heating
My father in the 1970's used to go to the farm dealership to get parts and in the end came home with a new unplanned equipment or truck as he checked out what was in the lot before he went inside.
Miss the original opening theme music. When you heard it you knew who it was.
Hey Chet & Eric wouldn’t want your job doing that job you both have to do. Eric &. Chet you both should be brother’s instead of cousins . Eric you did a awesome job helping Chet when time was ruff losing a loved one . Grain bin’s our one messy job cleaning them out get ready to put something else in they can be a pain in you know what . Yea Dougo we lived it a know what your going threw. Congratulations on your entertainment and education and the ride with you Dougo fun ride. Getting a semi trailer all fix up cost a bunch not to cheat .Dougo shut your eye’s and keep going not today to buy yet.Chet be wanting ear plugs so load inside the grain bin wow.
Good job. Perhaps on the third bin, you can fix that sweep the manufacturer or installer screwed up.
If grain tank is full an that all happens what next in WA Australia we leave that up to the silos we cart too 😅
Dougo the repairs are probably still easy cheaper than a new one
Dougo is getting really good with that camera.
Good ol peterbuilt door rattle
If you rebuild hydraulic cylinders, the flameless torch is a good tool
Dougo, you don't have to "sound" like you know what you're talking about, if most people out there are like me when it comes to you, you have more than earned things work out in Dougos way no matter what. Seeing you in the big pete and hearing it's sound made me think back 40 or so years ago of being in what grain trucks were back in the day..... You are the man 👍👍.
Yep real can’t find ‘em grind ‘‘em not no automatic
Nea! Dougo The Truck driver ! LOL
Will you still be able to use the sweep? Without the flighting over the sump I don’t see how it would get the grain to the sump
If you took a bunch of before video of shiny trailer, maybe a side-by-side with the repairs for a quick bonus vid in your spare time? I know--bout to get busy(er). Have a good fall...
Duggo is the best!!!😂😂
Doug, those John Deere Boys love to see you a coming.
I remember Brody had to wash the truck
Looking forward to see how the Bin Sump Pro works out for you!
Hey Chet is there anyway you could send that thing you used to heat up that bearing? Thanks awesome video
Some induction heating tool - try looking for that, maybe he will provide brand and model
Mini-Ductor II - google it, they have many options.
I wonder how well the sweep will since there’s that section of flighting gone. Will it now pile up just in front of the hole?
Well I don't know how you can top this one Dave! You start with all sorts of babies and end with a bear thinking the Camera is food. 😂
The thing I can't understand is why? Why the heck do bears have such a liking for eating cameras, or maybe plastic? I just don't get why they always molest cameras or get super close to them when the new ones don't make much, if any noise...........😂😂😂😂😂
I would imagine that trailer repair bill was in the neighborhood of 20k. But when new stuff is a year out and probably 60 k or more what’s a guy to do
Did you put "clips" on the double chain "couplers" on with the rotation so they won't pop off when bins full? Good video as per usual!
The chain is only on when the bin is about empty to run the sweep.
