I’m a beginner & watching all these videos sometimes I feel so overwhelmed like I couldn’t possibly make something so elaborate, thank you for showing it can be done simply & still look beautiful…you give great tips too
Just watching this as I like your sense of humor...but when you started to sew in the pages, I was talking out loud to you, "Woman, are you daft? Clip your pages together, they're going all wonky! Stop your waffling and get it straight on!" HAHA, and I was speaking in your voice! I love your videos, you make this old lady smile!!!
Back in the pandemic, i discovered making journals. One of the 1st ones was from the bottoms of 2 paper bags. It turned out so good that I've made several more. Then i found out that my bag journals had a name, junk journals came into my life with a bang !!
Thanks Dawn😊 I know, it's ridiculous how expensive they can be here. A few years ago i did pick some up for a few pounds in a cheap shop, but they were very flimsy. Shops still insist on using plastic ones. Bad for the world and bad for crafters😊🤗💜

Hi Julie-I’ve started one of these fun paper bag journals along with you!😊 I made good progress, but didn’t get as far as you. Too much time spent trying to decide which papers to use! But I enjoyed having you along to follow. You’re good company in the wee hours when I’m up still crafting! Have a good day (or is it still night in the UK?!) And thanks for the inspiration!💖
Hi Ann😊 i'm now wondering uf you finished it. If not, use the first paper you lay your hands on. Says me who has just spent 2 hours deciding what paper to use for a project i have in mind for today. It's now 4.30 pm and the ferrel children will need feeding soon😘🤗💜
I’m sending a photo of my cover-I did decide on the paper!!😁 It’s a work in progress, but fun to pick up when I can! Thanks again for the tutorial. I know this is 2 years old, but commenting anyway ;) the eyelet tool? the handle falling off? I think thats what you said? I have that same challenge with some of my hole punches, the ones you hold in the palm of your hand? with the plastic handle covers. It only happens on one side of them too. I think when i squeeze, to punch the hole, the outer fingers, being shorter than the inner ones? are squeezing lower down on the handle and that is actually pulling that rubber off that side. We squeeze so hard and i think the topmost finger on the outside hits first then the little finger, and i just think that pushing the cover off. lol. You know the butterfly in this video you wanted to use, I had a journal i made and had the perfect butterfly for it but never could find the perfect place for it, lol. Drove me crazy.
