- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 9 ก.พ. 2025
- This class explores a more fluid approach to the yin yoga poses that starts with somatic movement and gradually settles into calming and grounding stillness. The class is designed to help you find balance and relaxation by gradually slowing down, progressing from sensual movement into longer holds. It’s a great practice for when you’re looking to increase flexibility, reduce stress, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.

Hi, I'm Devi. Twenty years ago I was an addict with depression, anxiety and severe body pain. I was drawn to yoga for healing and recovery, but I kept finding myself in classes that increased my stress and insecurity with dogmatic alignment rules meant for people with very different bodies than mine.
I almost quit until I discovered the intuitive practice of Yin Yoga. With Yin, I learned to follow my instincts to connect with a deep well of inner resources for healing and recovery. Now almost 50, I’m devoted to sharing this approach to help others.
In 2003, soon after I began teaching yoga, I founded Tucson Yoga Studio and directed a staff of 10 teachers with a full schedule of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga classes. We served over 20,000 students a year and we were Tucson's favorite yoga studio for many years.
I sold Tucson Yoga in 2012 and relocated to the San Francisco Bay area where I entered into extensive studies with Paul Grilley. I joined MC Yogi and Amanda Giacomini at Point Reyes Yoga as studio manager and director of the studio’s Yin Yoga Teacher Training program. I’ve now trained and certified over 200 yin yoga teachers since 2015.
Paul Grilley’s influence runs deep in my teachings. I was among the first Yin Yoga teachers that he certified at the 500 hour level in 2013, and I carry forth his life-changing approach to yoga alignment. I’m also greatly inspired by my meditation instructor Lorin Roche who is the author and translator of the Radiance Sutras.
After 20 years of teaching in-person and managing yoga studios, I'm now delighted to be doing all my teaching online, where I've been able to share yin and yang yoga with a global community of students and friends.
When not doing yoga you'll find me dancing, hiking and swimming naked near my home in Southern California.

Hi Devi! Another fabulous class. It felt very intuitive to move and then hold. I loved your rainbow twist. I have done it for years as well. I learned it as the Alexander stretch. It feels so good for my tight shoulders and upper back!
Glad you liked it, Deborrah! Thanks for sharing what resonated ❤️
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻💚 I have been going through a very difficult time in my life the past few months with many difficult changes, deep healing and spiritual growth. As a result I’ve been diving deeper into my self care, finding new routines and methods and also returning to various practices I fell out of at some point (like yoga and meditation). I’ve been a bit isolated in these death/rebirth cycles, not wanting to leave the house much or be around people, so I’ve turned to technology to help connect me to what and who I need. Finding this video on this particularly difficult day was like finding a rare gem buried in the earth. I’ve been in search of good yin videos for quite some time and I feel like you have delivered what I’ve needed. My body feels so good! I can feel the energy buzzing in and around me, and the stress that was tightly wrapped around my body has loosened its grip. Again, thank you 🙏🏻 so much 💚 I look forward to exploring more of your videos.
I'm so glad you found this session in the midst of this very deep healing mode. It sounds like powerful work you're doing. Thank you for sharing your journey. ❤️

Glad you enjoyed the practice, Dawn!
Really nice first thing in the morning. Always struggle with Dragonfly and the flowing sequence helped facilitate bit more of a forward fold. Appreciated the changing poses in this as sometimes want/need more movement in my daily yin practice. As a warm-up, followed this with my own 30-min routine. 😊
Thanks for practicing with me today! ❤️
Devi!!! Thank you. This was perfect for restoration 🤍🙏🏽

I love supported dragon the most and in deer I can put my left leg straight with the mat. On the right site I do sleeping swan. And my pilates teacher calls that rainbow opening a book. And my wish came out with the chanting at the end. Thx ❤😊❤.

Hi Devi, how did I miss this one ? It is just a perfect release for the body and the mind🙏 The exploration of the poses with the ondulations was delicious😀
I'd like to ask you a question please : do you engage your bandhas during yin classes ? I never thought about them during those classes (except in forward fold, to prevent overinjuring my yoga butt), because I try to surrender into the poses, and engaging the bandhas makes me really active, which is the opposite of letting go !
Many yogis enjoy weaving bandha practice into their yin sessions, but I have tried it and found it doesn’t work for me. Similar to you, it feels opposite of the intention to release. But it may be a helpful technique for others.
@@DeviDalyYoga so we have the same opinion about it😉Thank you for your answer 🙏🙏
