I've been playing Yasuo for a while and never realized that I could q when the enemy is attacking me to gurantee it. I learned something new today. Love your channel Dobby keep up the good work :)
I would also like to add that yasuo's q scales off attack speed. This cooldown is capped at around 66% cd (q up every 1.33 seconds) which is obtained by having about 114% bonus attack speed.
Not sure if this was missed, but your e distance and speed I believe scales with your movement speed, and also how fast your shield charges up, so that's why you have to keep moving around to keep charging your shield faster, never stand still with Yasuo just keep clicking back and forth to bring shield up faster. Otherwise it's an amazing video with lots of tips and tricks. I hope you make it big on TH-cam and scale enough to show the information better since text subtitles can only do so much you know. Like for example, why you should always eq before ulting is that your eq damage transfers over to your ult, or you can knockup someone and then q before ulting, that way you will have tornado ready right out of ult instead of waiting to land another q. I am sure you already know all of this, but telling all this just through text is a bit hard. You put amazing effort in your videos as always, much love.
These tips are actually super helpful , been playing yasuo for a long time and I always thought the ult selection was automatic. Q'ing Raptors also is super useful lvl1 prevents you from taking like 150 damage from ranged autos .
More Tips; Conquerer - Conquerer lets Yasuo play the fast engage-disengage play style with vastly more damage against melee matchups and can lead to some very nasty trades/early kills, would try out against melee matchups, riskier than Fleet sustain Ultimates in Teamfights - Ulting knocked up targets by your team is a good thing to do, but if you think you will have an even better opening or that you can create a game winning engage with your ultimate, keep it. Ways to figuring out when to keep it is if you can spot a 3+ man E Q Flash onto the enemy team or if your teammate is going to knock up the entire enemy team soon (i.e. delayed Galio ult mid fight stunning everyone or a Alistair about to multi knockup) Windwall - When in a 1 v 2+ Windwalling before ulting may be a smart thing to do if you can only knock up one enemy, since it is basically a stun lock for both you and your enemy, this is reversed if you are 2+ v 1, windwalling to hide the Q Animation is also more of a mind trick than a combo, if you do not believe in the enemy’s unawareness and think you will fight him head-on soon, keep it Build - Immortal Shieldbow has proven itself as the core item for now, but with experimentation I found out there are different builds like rushing PD + IE/Mortal Reminder into something like Trinity/Divine Sunderer works against situational enemy team comps, for cookie cutter build try out: -Berserker’s Greaves rush -Immortal Shieldbow -Infinity Edge if behind/even (PD when ahead) -Mortal Reminder/PD (IE if you don’t have it) -Wits End/Death’s Dance/GA -Tank Item Idk if anyone even reads any of this but yea uh bye-

Hey, this is really good but one thing that should be pointed out is that you should almost always auto before E-Q R in a 1v1 situation, also that Yasuo passive come back up once you R so you can instant R for shield to save you
I think the problem is that people NEED to practice a champion many times in norms, but some people are toxic about it. It's really there for people to practice a champion to become better in a real situation, perhaps a preparation stage for playing the champion in ranked and increasing your tier in the future. If someone feeds, what about it? Defeat happens all the time, it's part of the game and most importantly, it's normal games. People say go practice at bot games, but those only help for combos or map reading, doesn't help improve mechanical skills. I think it just became a rule to be good to play champions in normal games. Yas is a hard champion, some people say that he is easy, but they most likely don't know Yasuo fully and the enemies probably doesn't know how to play against Yasuo too so they mess up. Try playing Yasuo in a match full of experienced people, if you don't play him GOOD, you are going to get countered every time. Yasuo's gameplay could become inting or carrying by one move, thus the reason why he is hard and needs fair practice in norms
You can use tornado (3's q) before r. Tornado will cast after dash to r target. E+Q+protobelt work, also witch flash-E+Q+proto+flash after this u can also end combo with E+Q+R In airblade Yas can cast W good against syndra for example E+Q+W+R
For those who want to play Yasuo in Wild Rift my tip is YOU NEED 2 ATTACK SPEED ITEMS TO USE YASUO'S MECHANIC'S you can Air blade with 1 attack speed item if you have a knock up teammate or if you hit you're tornado at the maximum range and remember the minions in Wild Rift is less so... Yasuo's mobility is more limited.
@@minecraftstation6422 oh yeah you can replace berserkers greaves to recurved bow for the attack speed and then phantom dancer or statik shiv I don't build bloodthirster I build blade of the ruined king even with all that attack speed it's not that fast compare to the pc version.
I know yasuo's design makes beginners want to play him (i was there at some point, but more recently one of my friends started playing him) so here is a general advice about the champion: don't expect crazy plays to be possible each time; matchup matters a lot, and in some cases even if outplay is technically possible, it takes way too much efforts and you have to be too perfect to get it right so it is not realistic. Instead focus on the macro side of your tradings with the opponent. Don't try to mechanically outplay, simply bait the ennemy into taking a q more than they want because of its range and eat their hp slowly, and/or bait their important cooldowns and then re-engage suddenly while they have nothing to defend themselves with. Yasuo's low cooldowns are one of his strength (but remember, they scale with attack speed). Patience is key. A good example of matchup beginners struggle with is Zed, due to the nature of the champion. Bait his shadow combo by standing in your minion wave and dashing. Once the shadow dissapears he has around 15 seconds cooldown on it. You can easily tank his E with your passive shield and block shurikens again 5 seconds later with your windwall. Finish him or flee before his combo is up again or before he gets his shuriken again to avoid taking too much damage. Rinse and repeat. Be carefull of his level 6 though but it is relatively the same story.
3/4ths of the way through and i just felt i had to say something. This is the most comprehensive guide on any champ i have seen, and I love it. IDK if you main him or you do this with others but i would love to see an ekko one
So far I have been able to pull off E Q while Q have 0.5cd almost 10 out of 10 times. I have also mastered Q flash and E Q flash. The hardest thing for me now is E over wall, I can only do it 3 out of 10 times. I think E over wall is a nice trick but not needed to climb with yasuo
I have been playing this champ for a year now 210k mastery and i learned so much from this.My playstyle with yas is gonna change a lot now and i hope one day i can become a high elo yasuo main.A video for Zed would be nice too

Well this basically the fundamentals on becoming a yasuo one trick and specially the 0.5 second Q charge is the basic of the basic on playing yasuo and it gets more noticeable if you have a nice amount of atk speed and cd reduction
I started watching Lol Analyst when he had less then 30k subs. Really impacted me when I found out he's been stealing content. You have earned my sub. On a side note, his channel doesn't have any videos anymore. I think they were all removed.

A couple of videos back I actually read a pinned comment that said this has turned into a legal issue and this channel is fighting to get Lol analyst taken down as he has been copying from multiple Korean channels. He translated their videos, changed the wording a bit and put them as his own without crediting the original creator or channel. The video topics are the same and the statements in those videos are in the exact same order as the Korean ones.
1:40 in yasuo tricks, auto is really important (and also in general gameplay) UNSLESS you need quickly your shield or to dodge. An other thing, you can "airblade" without using e with 1.33 and use q3 at mid range. (Q3 auto Q1 r) It good if you know that opponent has f or his dash ability to escape / outplay However, this type of airblade (called cut blade) has bug : Q1 don't chain to Q2 (please riot fix this...)
I know this is old post, but is not a bug , ulting removes your q stacks as you are doing q>r. Not with airblade as q comes with r. You can bufer q r though and get the stac, although is a very hard timing.
Very nice guide, you have a lot of knowledge on every champion :D just wanted to say that in 4:47 I personally do it only against range matchups, because in melee I can probably have stronger level 1

One thing you didn’t mention was that the eqult combo requires some bonus ats to pull off as you need the Q cooldown to be low enough
E Q Ult was hard until i saw you explained about the intentional bug! Great tips! 👍 learned alot through the vid. Keep it up
its easy to do with enough attack speed or just take lethal tempo and u can pull it off with just a dagger and fully stacked lethal tempo

what happened
So far I have been able to pull off E Q while Q have 0.5cd almost 10 out of 10 times. I have also mastered Q flash and E Q flash. The hardest thing for me now is E over wall, I can only do it 3 out of 10 times. I think E over wall is a nice trick but not needed to climb with yasuo

One tip: Yasuo vs Talon 1v1 is one of the hardest matchup, even Pzzang messed it up sometimes
I usually just go defensive runes in second tree and pick every fight pre 6 to get ahead so he won't one shot me after 6

Well this basically the fundamentals on becoming a yasuo one trick and specially the 0.5 second Q charge is the basic of the basic on playing yasuo and it gets more noticeable if you have a nice amount of atk speed and cd reduction

@@kingsachem1261 it's in the comment section of most of Lol Dobbies Videos as well as on reddit(now deleted post) and I think on imgur as well. A couple of videos back I actually read a pinned comment that said this has turned into a legal issue and this channel is fighting to get Lol analyst taken down as he has been copying from multiple Korean channels. He translated their videos, changed the wording a bit and put them as his own without crediting the original creator or channel. The video topics are the same and the statements in those videos are in the exact same order as the Korean ones.
1:40 in yasuo tricks, auto is really important (and also in general gameplay) UNSLESS you need quickly your shield or to dodge.
An other thing, you can "airblade" without using e with 1.33 and use q3 at mid range. (Q3 auto Q1 r) It good if you know that opponent has f or his dash ability to escape / outplay
However, this type of airblade (called cut blade) has bug : Q1 don't chain to Q2 (please riot fix this...)
I know this is old post, but is not a bug , ulting removes your q stacks as you are doing q>r. Not with airblade as q comes with r. You can bufer q r though and get the stac, although is a very hard timing.

On Yasuo if you have a Mordekaiser and you're near him in a fight spam your R button because his e counts as airborne but its about 0.25 seconds
