    Loved seeing you online w/ BOTR in his ever so cheeky video on why Commonwealth types did not find the problems that the Americans seemed to find with the rifle. Also one of the FASTEST bolt action operators I have seen.

    How did that Mannlicher Schoenaur not sell? An absolute work of art and a steal even at 3800.

      Both those cased rifles were beautiful, I don't know how that second one didn't go either - Dylan

      Superdude70 The reason it sold for that much was because in Australia if the caliber of a pistol is over 38 only some exemptions are made to a limited class of competition shooters or collectors. If it was under 38 cal normal sporting pistol license holders could get it.

    What's the patch on your right shoulder?
    Also that was a sick deal for someone on that MLE. That would have gone for 2 grand here in the States. :(

    It may be my phone, but the sound of your dialogue seems awfully muted in the beginning. Love the content though.

    How does the restricted license work?

    • @dsar9489
      @dsar9489  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because every state has differing laws and interpretations of those laws the "restricted license" wording is to reflect that the items will need a higher or different level of license. Either a collectors, dealers, primary producer, employment license etc. We don't state specifics because the laws aren't the same everywhere. Please check your local laws before putting money down for items such as these.

      Department of Southern Armament Research thanks for the response, I live in the U.S. so I’m not worried about it for myself. I was just trying to find out how you could go about say owning that bren and being able to shoot it.

    • @dsar9489

      @@justinmishler6758 There are ways, but they are long an onerous for us here in Aus. Also, sadly I don't have a spare $14,000 sitting around for a Bren gun regardless!

      Department of Southern Armament Research at least there’s a slight chance and it isn’t destroyed.

      Justin Mishler So in the state of Victoria where this auction is held the Bren gun is considered E category which only people can obtain on a case by case basis unless their police or military. So there’s a guy that runs an military arms fair in Melbourne which has one of these exemptions so he owns M1 carbines and Bren guns. Category D in Victoria is semi-auto center-fires is only available to again military and police and also people who need that type of firearm for their employment such as dealers, armours and professional pest controllers.
