I was in Peru staying at a wildlife reserve in the jungle once talking in Spanish to a bilingual Peruvian guy when a dude from London came by and said, "My telly's done a runner. Can you give it a bell?" I told him no, because we were in the jungle and didn't have reception. He was like "oh yeah duh." and asked me to keep an eye out. When he left the Peruvian guy said, "You're not bilingual. You speak three languages. English, Spanish and whatever the fuck that just was."

The Churchill joke is because Churchill was legit super witty and hilarious and when a woman scolded him for being drunk he said something like “I may be drunk but you are ugly and in the morning I’ll be sober and you will still be ugly” (he said it wittier I’m sure) and they just changed the funny famous witty Churchill line to “you’re a fat bitch” 😂😂

Ash is awesome and is definitely a keeper.
It’s because she’s doing a conscious cost/benefit analysis. “Hmmm… He’s already had a solid career, so he’s got general life experience in the real world; he’s had a decent side gig with his main TH-cam channel, a decent tertiary career with his own TH-cam channel, and now he’s moving on to a solid career in the trades, which are shorthand across the western world ($$$/£££).” She clearly sees that the short term cost will be more than outweighed by the benefits in the future. i.e. she’s thinking long term (god damn fat fingers actually got it right, for once: ‘king’ term) - basically: he’s a keeper and she’s got it right. And NO, those features ARE NOT found in the standard models lol! That alone makes him a keeper!
So basically being a decent human being and a good partner is incredibly rare with women? Can't argue with that.
She really is rare and fantastic, and so is he. Also consider that he has been and still is contributing to the family bottom line and has likely accrued substantial savings, to the point that he's willing to leave a lucrative IT job. No one does that without savings tucked away. So he's bringing in funds that he's already earned. And there's the benefit of a low-cost hobby. You save more and need less. Also, studying a trade is not pursuing a dream. It's pursuing a job in that trade.

I worked as an electrician's helper for 10 years or so and then got on with a communications company in Florida climbing towers from 75 ft to 200 ft tall. I installed a lot of wireless equipment. Now I'm retired! I like retirement 🙂 good luck to you brother! I know Ash will keep you in line! Peace!

"walk in with confidence" - Some guy named Barry Bremen used to sneak into every major sport by doing just that(dressing up in the teams uniform). He even took layup practice with the team at. half time of the all star game before anyone noticed. There's en ESPN documentary on him: The great imposter and me. Really impressive stuff.
Just like the tea joke letting you walk around, when I was in the Army we would always walk around with clipboards and would walk kinda quick. Everyone assumed you were on a task and left you alone.
Fun fact: The Southern accent came from the British accent.
Another fun fact : The British accent is fake. They used to talk like Americans but they changed the way they talked because they wanted to be different than "The Traitors". Everyone in the UK are speaking in a made up accent and don't even realize it.
A lot of white American accents came from Europe. Irish, latin, southern, as you mentioned.

It's always scary to make a change when you've been doing something work wise for so long, but with the right attitude you'll be excellent at it. There are never enough electricians and too bad you're not here in the US - can never get one since they are soooo busy.

Stewie's southern accent is a play on how American Southern accents come from English Accents that were corrupted over the generations from people having not been around their English Kin for a very long time
That's incorrect. The Southern accent is actually closer to the English accent in the 1600s than the modern English accent is. It's because the South was relatively isolated so they preserved the accent while the English was changed from exposure to other cultures.

Are you guys aware that around 2007/2008 there was a Hollywood writers strike and it highly affected Family Guy for a season or so? (and a ton of other shows at that time). Dipping out at season 7 is somewhat understandable I guess. The last 10 seasons they've had have been crazy funny.

I used to have a job where I had a company truck that was a plain white flatbed, and I drove right through several security gates that I probably shouldn't have. Everyone just assumed I was supposed to be there and knew where I was going.
In 2001 I took a tour of Windsor castle. Our tour guide told us some history. During WWII all the paintings were removed from the frames and moved to a safe location. Just on the off chance that the castle was overrun by enemy forces. Years later in 1992 when the fire happened the same was done to those paintings. As the Queen went through to inspect the damages, she got the giggles. There in the empty frames were still the drawings that she and her sister made directly on the wall when they were children!
