FANTASTIC presentation and explantion of the SYNCO G1 A2, that's part of the reason I bought them. However, I've got a problem and I don't know if it's them or that I've done something on my INSTA 360 X2, for some unknown reason to me, they record great on the ZOOM H1n but I get no sound what so ever on the INSTA 360 X2. Any idea what it could possibly be????? Thanks Chris
Hi Christopher, hmm it sounds strange. Have you got any other microphone you can try with your insta 360? Unfortunately I don't have one so I can't really offer much help. But if it's working fine with tiur ZOOM H1n. It seems like something to do with the settings on the insta instead?
@@TheRealRichardWong Hi Richard, First things first, thanks for the reply. I've tried the Insta360X2 with another mic and it works! I'm getting REALLY CONFUSED, works with one but not the other¿? Regarding settings for the 360X2 I think I must have tried them all but can't find a way to do a FACTORY/FULL RESET. Thanks for your help and if anyone reads this and knows the answer, please get in touch with me,
Hi Christopher one more thing.. there are two cables supplied for you to plug into the receiver, one is TRS plug, otherhas TRRS. I believe bthe insta 360 should use the TRS cable so make sure you are using that
@@TheRealRichardWong YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE IT! I've just tested it, same set up as yesterday and IT'S WORKING¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿? Recording on the 360 and the ZOOM H1n!!!!!!!!!! WiTNOG!
Thank you for this very thorough review. I know this video is 4 years old, but luckily, The G1 is still available. I know the G2 is the latest, but i like the simplicity of the G1. I just got the Canon V10, and I am researching wireless mics. This should improve my channel greatly.
I have the Synco S6D. It's a wired, dual Lav mic with battery powered noise reduction. It takes a few seconds for it to kick in and reduce the ambient white noise. I'm guessing this doesn't have a similar feature?
It could be. I have a link to the products page at the top.. you can check out what features it have as I haven't talk about everything in this video :)
Make sure you have a direct line of sight between the transmitter and receiver. The 2.4GHz wireless mic signal seem to really affected by any obstacle between the transmitter and receiver. Even your body could block the signal even if the tx/rx are at very close range.
It's not just the distance.. it's more whether there is anything blocking / in between. I would get cut outs sometimes even if I place the transmitter around my hip, with the camera on the other side of my body because there is no line of sight. But I can also get no cut outs if there is direct line of sight even if the distance is 300 feet+
It looks nice. small and cute. Audio quality seems good for outdoor but I can hear the noise indoor. probably can minimise the noise during post? thanks for the informative and fair review as always Richard!
There IS quite a bit of noise, like i mentioned in the review, i notice the noise floor is a bit high. This is most noticeable when filming in really quiet place like my room. But not really noticeable in a normal room or outdoor
Thanks Richard very good review. Looks very much like the comica boom x2. Which has the same mount, dead cat and includes a mute on the tx, it comes with a remote mic, and has 2 tx and 1rx with a display. It's about $100 more. This one looks like a great value solution.

@@TheRealRichardWong My Synco G1 (A2 kit) arrived yesterday. So far, I'm really impressed. One issue I've had is trying to use other input sources with the transmitters. Anything I've tried (lav mics, video mic, etc) ends up with excessive interference/buzzing. Maybe a power/balancing issue, I dunno.
Great Review. Have you used this system plugged directly into s smartphone? Can this system be plugged into a h4n zoom pro handheld recorder? I read s comment that you used it with sn h1 zoom pro. I used shotgun mic snd h4n zoom pro for interviews. Can the synco be used to document people? What is the rsnge on this system?
I have them too and to be honest, there is a constant noise in the audio. However, when I plug my other mic (a non wireless Rode lavalier) into the camera, this noise is almost gone. Is there a way to reduce the noise coming from the Synco mic?
Impressive audio device. How quick is the sync time between turning the transmitter off and on? I record in a shop that requires a mute function when using loud machines.
I have a tons of questions please someone answer me, is this only for cameras not iPhone cuz the wires don’t fit on my phone. I have an iPhone 14… where do I connect these microphones to? It says wireless but I can’t connect to my phone. What does the receiver and transmitter do… omg im so clues to this.
Hi there! Interesting. Question.. Have you tried to capture audio not from the camera but from a recorder? Like zoom h1n or something in that price range?
@@TheRealRichardWong no my friend I don't have any issues. I asked because I am thinking to by pair but I want to use them as back up with a zoom h1n recorder or something similar. If you don't had issues I am OK. Thanks for answering
The Synco G1's design is definitely a lot more elegant , lighter and also more features and flexible like you can select sound mode, with/without lapel mic..etc But Lensgo 308C seem to have better working distance indoor and status display as you mentioned which is very useful. Sound quality i need to do direct comparison to tell.. I have a few more microphone I'm reviewing very soon. maybe i will do a group test once I've done al the individual reviews and see which sounds the best..etc?

Can you use it directly as an audio recorder, without passing the sound wireless to the camera?
There is no internal/external memory for G1 so you can't record it without attaching it to a camera/audio recorder
if you want to record wireless sound, but without connect it to camera - look for zoom F1.
Hi sir i absolutely loved your review , i need an answer about the product! Does the mic sound same with external mic? Or it sound different?
