You know the funny thing is that I literally was thinking about this exact topic a few days ago, what a coincidence. It's a really sad world we live in when it comes to love life, but I do believe that true love exists. I agree that bettering and improving yourself is not only the key to finding true love, but also key to living in general. You need to treat yourself and care about yourself to succeed and be happy in life. The fact that this is how society sees dating today is sad, truly is. I think alot of people misunderstand the concept of manhood. To me manhood just means to make something of yourself. Be independent, self sufficient, and that is a two way street. It doesnt mean not expressing ur emotions but I think what it should mean is to learn how to deal with your emotions in a healthy way on your own. To do that you need to learn how to do that and it comes from others and modeling others. Asking for help isnt feminine and i think it hurts society to say it is. just my 2 cents.

I have noticed on social media alot of men are getting offended and upset that women are acknowledging that in the past the bar had been set EXTREMELY LOW for men and that the standards that us women hold them to have to go up. For example, women will praise their man for not cheating on them..... when loyalty is the absolute bare minimum. Loyalty comes with a relationship, it's a requirement NOT a luxury so why are we praising them for it? The bar is set so extremely low for men, however, when I talk with men they expect so much from an actual female partner (not just a hookup). They want a woman that will bring all these different things to the table, and in exchange for all of what they expect, we praise them for just being loyal. But I feel like most decent men don’t expect that of their partner. If a man is looking for a real partner, they should have standards. It was all a very annoying conversation to have with my partners brother because it was in a group call with other men as well and they all believe there’s not a “deeper meaning”. Men(and some women also) tend to go straight into denial when they are forced to acknowledge that they aren’t as confident as they try to come across.
My point is this though… What exactly are men expecting/praising above the bare minimum from women that are saying is unrealistic on their end?
@@KingSchratz When I respond to this, it’s excluding shitty men. Because shitty men have a lot of unrealistic standards such as expecting women to have society’s version of a perfect body (when that stuff is not actually achievable naturally for MOST women). I don’t think any standards (when it comes to DECENT men) are unrealistic usually. I think it could be unrealistic to expect your female partner to do all of the cooking and cleaning . But I feel like most decent men don’t expect that of their partner. If a man is looking for a real partner, they should have standards. They should want a woman that brings them peace, is easy to communicate with, allows them to show their emotions and talk about their feelings without belittling or embarrassing them. They should want their woman to take care of them (pull their weight) etc. i don’t feel like any of that is unrealistic.
