Good explanation mate, appreciate this. I was running Memento on a sniper build but opted to switch out to bloodsucker. Collecting the trophies was a bit problematic with the sniper so bloodsucker seems to be a good trade off. Thus far, it is working out great, at least on heroic content.
I would say bloodsucker wins here considering you're already going for an oreo build with survivability instead of higher dps, in the latter's case both options would be out. Getting significantly higher net bonus armor throughout tough fights since you can lose more than 10% bonus armor on average between kills with bloodsucker and lose a lot less of your actual armor would make more sense. Once you're up against a single target it is kind of moot since both options would probably perform similarly enough that it's back to the nuclear warhead tonnage argument.
I would also add that to get the bonus armour/damage from Momento you need to kill an enemy and then pick up the trophy, whereas, with bloodsucker, you aren't limited by range and immediately upon killing the enemy get that bonus armour. I can just imagine a scenario where you have lost all your armour and you move into cover while a group of enemies are pushing you. With momento in that situation, only the slight armour regen will help. However in that same situation with blood sucker, you could just blind fire and kill enemies from cover to get enough bonus armour to push them again
i would like to point out the obvious and that you can't always get the memento trophy e.g you kill an enemy in a hoard of them and can't get to the trophy and risk death whereas bloodsucker you instantly get the bonus armour as soon as you get the kill.
Hey, Overall Momento is incredible when that 30% skill efficiency kicks in which gives your weapon damage a boost as well...But I luv Bloodsucker so much...those bonus blues😂
😂 I have a Groupo bag with Bloodsucker. I prefer Bloodsucker because I don't like chasing down trophies. Plus when I've taken too much damage I can get behind cover and let my skills get my bonus armor stacks unlike the Momento where I still have to go pick up the trophy.

So if you’re the type of person that doesn’t run full red unless it’s a raid or incursion what would be better? I haven’t used bloodsucker but I know if you’re around 1.3/1.5mil armor you can get an insane amount of bonus armor with memento
I would say that if you are running a few blue cores that you would benefit more from Momento, as the armour regen from the long momento buff will actually be quite a lot of armour and having the 30% damage bonus from the same long buff would also be great! Also, if you are running a shield with your build you'll be able to get that extra one or two shield tiers with momento (depending on what backpack you would have been running instead). The issue with using bloodsucker on a build, is that you need to be able to kill things pretty quickly to get the most from it, whereas the long buff from Momento only requiring you to get a kill once every 300 seconds to maintain that buff, means that you can play more flexibly and still get the benefits
Memento all day long. All 3 cores in addition to long-term buffs 30% WD, skill efficiency and 3% armor regen ..no brainer. Only use BS if I'm running a different gear exotic i.e. Coyotes, Catharsis, Ridgeways etc...
When you say multiplicative with itself, are you asking if when you get a kill with bloodsucker, that the second kill will give you the percentage of armour including the bloodsucker bonus? Because if so, I don't believe it does, it's just a percentage of whatever your full armour is
In my opinion, momento and adrenaline rush are going to be better for run n gun facetank builds. If you're running more than the 1 blue core from momento, momento will stack your armor higher than 100%. Each trophy awards 10% per armor core. Ive got an HF hazpro build with 6 blue core, and I can assure you the bonus armor received is much more than 100% of your armor. Momento also has the luxury of having 3%regen to heal your reg armor up behind the bonus armor. Bloodsucker is great for in-cover builds.
I NEEEEEEEED to tell someone wise and familiar with all the number crunching about my build! Has anyone been trying the iron lung with ongoing directive?? It's fuckin bonkers!!! 5 red, 1 yellow Vile mask has yellow but every other piece is red. All rolled crit damage minus one piece that has wep handling. Sitting at like 25 chc, 135 chd, 105 head dmg The iron lung is at 120 for me I have the contractors gloves on as well. Use sticky launcher. This build is feeling amazing. The fire triggers getting hallow point bullets. Then from there after, I always have special ammo. You can bleed burn vile debuff melt anything! Gunner specialization. Heal drone round out my build. This was just something thrown together to test the lung out and it's so fun! Would love the input of you and your audience. Thanks
I suppose another way to describe it is: Memento stacks are independent of each other (linear) Blood Sucker stacks are on top of (my favourite position) each other ( non-linear, refreshing the previous stack/buff). 🎉

Nice vid! :) I prefer Memento, that short buff along side the long buff and tanky-ish shield do way more for me than a bit more intimidate up-time.

Yep I prefer bloodsucker/intimidate as a combo for the Oreo

I really wish momento didn't drop something instead counted without us having to go pick these items up, it's shortsighted the way they made that one.
