- The sense of freedom and exhilaration that comes with riding a motorcycle can be incredibly liberating, providing a break from the routine of everyday life. The connection to the surroundings and local communities is visceral as riders feel the wind, smell the scents, and hear the sounds of the environment around them.
Our first trip around Ha Giang was 26 years ago this week. As the area has exploded with irresponsible mass tourism, our team have long since moved on to areas that rarely see travellers. Instead of karaoke hostels bustling with backpackers, we stay with ethnic minority families in their traditional homes. We eat local and assure only the most authentic cultural exchanges between travellers and people from a range of ethnic groups.
Instead of crowded waterfalls, we swim in vast lakes, natural springs and secret streams. Instead of busy view points, we explore vast caves and trek along trails that weave through the most unique landscapes in all of Vietnam. Our campsites involve spending a night under the stars surrounded by nature.
Here we present one of our five day loops starting in Sapa and winding through Lai Chau and Dien Bien Phu provinces.

Hi and Thank you for sharing beautiful country, cultures and traditions.
Our pleasure!
This is one of my favorite videos. So much adventure. Your tours are fascinating. The cultural immersion, landscape, and culinary experiences are inspiring. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such a brilliant trip, I really like it 😊
Beautiful.....you inspire me to return to venture deeper into the countryside.....but no bats for me!
Haha. We’re sure the bats also think the same :)
Epic ride. Love it
Glad you enjoyed the journey!
great video but share the route when you do these videos as its great to see routes with little traffic and at the start when you with the people at the lake it would be nice to know where this was
Thanks for the feedback. The route was mainly through Dien Bien Phu and Lai Chau Provinces, but we choose to keep specific roads and markets quiet to avoid the massive over-saturation being experienced in Ha Giang and other well known areas. Hope you understand why.
@@ethosspirit yes 100 % i will be in that area as well next week lol not that you have mentioned dien bien phu lol and lai chau funny i was just looking at this yesterday
