God literally built Artosis and Brood War to merge together. I believe that if Artosis was not born, BroodWar would not be alive anymore. The absolutely perfect mix between the pro players pushing SC to its mechanical limits and Artosis absolute perfect commenting on top of the video is a pure blend. Without these casts, these games would be in the void. WOOT
yea they just hard counter Terran super hard because terrans only melee is firebat and protoss has zealots but also storm on clouds just dominates it but if defilers didn't exist terran would just walk over zerg late game no chance with tanks and marines
Defiler is ridiculously OP against terran. Especially because tanks are a core unit in the terran army. Honestly to this day how you’re supposed to counter it effectively when you’re in a defensive position is a mystery
wow, ive never seen a zerg sac lurkers for vessels like this before, it makes a lot of sense to try and deny that continuous value that vessels tend to get over time though I really like this take on the strategy
1:30 it is very sad indeed, every time I hear the name Jangbi I feel a little too much nostalgic. In another universe we enjoyed a couple of years of himsitting in the #1 Kespa rankings and it is now consensus among BW lovers that during his peak he showed us the best Protoss version the world has ever seen. You need to sleep. IF necessary get rid of your phone. Sleep is literally the most important thing in life. If you dont get it, you will slowly lose everything.
Artosis, I unfortunately let life get in the way of StarCraft. Your daily cast gives me my fix. It’s the same variety I got while playing myself and I can watch without devoting all the time it takes to stay competitive. Thank you
You can see how much better the Zerg has to be to overcome Terran imbalance, Terran needs a nerf badly and well done to the Zerg, which despite playing an inferior race have superior skills.
Terran so OP. Can do bunker rush, then quick expand while zerg does very quick low eco 2 hatch muta. Yet Terran can still sunken bust before mutas come out
Only way you can sunken bust is with tanks and if you already have 2 or 3 sunkens up nobody is going to try and soak up those losses unless you decide to go all in and have built 3+ barracks at that point and skip going up the tech tree and just straight up just go mass m&m. Which nobody ever does either because if you don’t succeed they’re going to go lurkers and it’s gg. Also dark swarm is OP

I hate hearing drones die 😔they make an irritating sound when the fall to firepower. If I was that Zerg player, I would be breaking my pc just of rage, cus losing 3 lurkers to that tag team would drive me crazy ❤️
Around ~5:08 JYJ had like a dozen marines vs like 8 zerglings and walked like half way across the map and zerg didn’t make any sunken or anything. Couldn’t he just have walked all the way across the map and rally more marines and won the game right there?
He didn’t have scouting info, if effort was massing lings jyj would have lost that fight. Typically zergs can get sunken up too, but effort was cutting corners.
JyJ had a rough game this time. Seems like he didn't map out his base layout to beat mutas and was overall just sloppy this game. Effort did just normal muta harass and did massive damage. Either JyJ didn't expect a normal timed lair after a successful bunker rush, or just had a bad game. At 13:00~ minutes he literally sends scvs back to his natural when he still hadn't consolidated defenses. His valk micro was the most atrocious part of the entire game, as he literally threw them away against the muta/scourge blob without support over and over and let effort snowball his already dominant air supremacy. Definitely deserved to lose this game
I always thought that hydras could beat, head on, a bio army if you have the right numbers, plague and some decent micro. FINALLY! I see it done properly.... after like 15 years of watching starcraft. The other one I'm waiting to see is that... you can actually save a ton of defilers from dying to iradiate, by ivesting in overlords drop upgrades.... you can't target a defiler if it is inside an overlord. So you will use it just like high templars and shuttles. You unload, cast your spells and upload again. But I guess I'll have to wait another 15 years for that one xd.

jyj threw this game so hard lol. let his marines autoattack drones instead of focus firing so he only got like 2. should have just kept killing mutas in retrospect. played way too aggressive with his marines and didn't defend his turrets. didn't manage his air units and kept letting them die for free. billions of vessels but no repairs and no eraser on the 9 o'clock base he was sieging. obv i'm not a pro and cannot do a fraction of anything that happened in this game, but he made so many mistakes and still had a chance to win
Do be honest looked more like Soulkey, which is the best player with that style or action who pulled the dark swarm only lings some years ago. Though effort also showed how good he is with that style last ASL... Effort apm level until 11 minutes or so than it dropped quite
Counted no less than 8 vessels just thrown away, 3 of them at the end just bad rallies across the map. Sloppy. Also, 2 overlords just outside JyJ’s base, never cleared them, he took his last Valkyrie and just flew it across the map trying to hunt Mutas and immediately lost it to scourge, kill the overlords, an easy 2 outside your base that you knew about and another one at the 9 o’clock, that’s just free value he left on the table. Sloppy sloppy sloppy.
@@MrTheQuestionerI always find it amazing that such a seemingly unique name was used twice and in the same game! Like I understand there being multiple "Hero", but "SoulKey" ? Is "the key to (one's) soul" something in South Korea?
The ASL where JyJ won, he didn't win because he was the superior player but rather just a poor showing of most of the other pros and luck with matches.
hahah, well maybe build more. It is so funny when you play on lower level they build much more turrets. And usually they are more effective there... Because muta micro sucks... On Pro level we see them often not building enough.
I don't care what anyone says, one of these days we will get a T-player that is really good at microing Valkyries and actually repairs Vessels - and that player will just fucking dominate. Shiesses we see 1.000 1.000 mineral/gas being lost in the span of 30 seconds to just a couple of hydras.
I think that is the next step for T in TvZ. We hardly saw Firebats and Valkyries in ASL just a couple of years ago and now they are staple units. As skill levels keep increasing, like you say, the Terran that can find the APM to keep vessels and valks alive will dominate TvZ.
He is great at 1/1/1 builds and wraiths, early cheese early to mid game but late game yes compared to other ASL terrans, he is just okay or medicore late game. He is overrated(relative to ASL pros) just like Jaedong is.@@SmokerFace12

It was a very interesting game from a low econ point of view. JYJ never got rolling again, so Effort's low economy mix worked fine.
