I think it could be a direct swap but you should look into it get a hold of mike milzy at milzymotorsports. com and question him about that they do all kinds of swapping engines transmissions so you should try him?

@Dangrousdave20 if u have the basic knowledge of wiring it really simple, took maby 20 minutes, i bought a double din dash trim kit, then i bought a harness i think it called i forget what its called but read on some of the grand prix forums, u plug ur factory plugs into it and then your radio into it aswell, thats if u want to keep your bose/onstar you will loose steering wheel control ( another adapter for that ) and u will lose the date on the DIC-but who cares, check out the adapters,

You have a new radio in i see, right? i have an 07 and thinking about putting a different unit in. except the nav system is really integrated into the car with the HUD and everything. did the nav system cause any problems for you with the new unit?
i have 2007 gxp and yes they do make a turbo kit for it the company is out of cali and its qouting at least five hundred horse to the wheels after tune injectors the cost well dig deep 5,500 for the whole kit

CONTINUED- if you get a new radio and it has dvd function, ground it to the car or any other ground wire and u can play dvd's wile u drive lol, and dont let audio places tell u u cant have double din in a grand prix, they lie !! they tried telling me that
first off why do you have it in kilometers and if that is the stock trans your in for a treat.the trans in these things cant handle stock hp and TCs are garbage but the car is damn clean

I have the base model and can confirm it would help to upgrade the trans expecially if it's compatible with a 6 speed
