Totally agree. Matt joining could potentially take Pentatonix even further. And, before the negatives come in, Avi was and is a genius bass and I have so much respect for him as a bass myself. What I mean by this is that Matt is a different person and has a different set of skills to Avi. This will, IMO, prove positive for PTX to move even higher in the acapella world. (I don't see Home Free fans complaining about Adam Chance taking over from Chris Rupp). Get over it.

Everyone needs to cut Matt some slack, everyone either hates him or loves him... he’s just trying his best. As a long time fan I understand why everyone is super upset Avi left and misses him but he chose to leave. The band is just trying to go forward and Matt isn’t trying to replace Avi but find his own place in the band. It’s probably really tough for him

It's like the other groups both Home Free and Voiceplay, they lost one and gain one and that = new experiences and new styles and renditions of songs. Matt's bass sounds much deeper than Avi, not as powerful and clear but it's there which is great overall :)

Not that I think there is anything wrong with getting work done, but clearly she has had some work. I'm fairly sure she and Mitch at least had their lips done. But she also just lost some of that baby weight and yeah learned how to do her makeup in a really flattering way. Nothing wrong with doing something to feel good about yourself. It doesn't hurt anyone else, and boosts your self-confidence, which comes across in her performances.
This feels like a group of friends just sitting in a circle singing together which is awesome in of itself

From Scott's deeper register to Mitch's higher notes, the harmonies, Matt's strong bass & complete joy for what he is doing, Kevin the human trumpet & amazing beatboxer, Kirstin's beautiful voice, not to mention how beautiful they all look, just WOW! this is insane. i used to be a huge fan (i was an avi girl) back in 2013-2015 but i kind of “grew” out of it. this appeared in my recommendations and i had to click on it. it’s amazing how much changed, but at the same time, didn’t. i’m so proud
Kevin legitimately deserves way more credit that he gets. Holding down the percussive beats alone with balancing the bass and tenor in a group is talent, doing so while also pulling off a string part on the cello (see radioactive and shallow) as well is a gift to humanity.
Just one question when are people going to stop asking where Avi is, he left last year to spend more time with family and is working on his own music at his own pace that's the answer, he is now PTX's number 1 fan and tweeted them well done on the cover and tweeted that Matt was awesome.

Everyone, I want to get this straight.
Avi left, because he wanted to give it a break, and spend more time with his family. Matt came in, and in my opinion, he's amazing!!! Even though he isn't the same as Avi, he definitely brings that awesome punch to the group, much like Avi had. He is a very good (and smiley!) new addition to the group.
Mitch and Kirstie like to change their looks up sometimes-and that's fine! I love Mitch's mustache and Kirstie's hair, so there is no need to get up at them for how they look. I think they look very good as they are. Always.
Okay, I've finished my rant. Also, this is totally your opinion, but this is just what I think.

Okay here are the highlights on this: KEVIIINNNN KILLED IT AT 2:22 to 2:33 !! Scott killed it at 2:05 to 2:22 and Kirsty's beauty is still a shock to me. The girl is fine as hell and she really shows a lot of confidence which I admire a lot! Matt damn I thought i was hearing Avi you killed it as well. He fits so well with the group. It’s always exciting when there’s a new Pentatonix release. Both vocally and visually, it is guaranteed to be the highest quality. Thank you PTX for sharing your talents!
On another note (pun intended), I’m a bit disappointed in some of the comments here. The complaints about Kirstin and Mitch’s appearance and about Avi being replaced by Matt are uncalled for.
Any “die hard fans” should know by now that both Kirstin and Mitch enjoy trying out different looks. This is not something new, but has been going on from the beginnings of the group. Over time, I started to anticipate seeing what new look one or the other (and sometimes both at once) will come up with.
Insofar as the loss of Avi goes, yes, he’s an outstanding bass, yes, he has a definitive appearance, yes, he has a great personality, and yes, he is missed, but why not be happy for him and support him in his current endeavors.
And then there’s the issue of people “dissing” Matt, who is also a Very Good bass, adding his own flair to the group. Just in case any of the fans out there think that by supporting Matt they are being “unfaithful” to Avi, understand that Avi, himself, supports the addition of Matt to the lineup of PTX. How about emulating Avi’s graciousness and welcoming Matt instead, Give him a chance to develop his own niche in the group, he’s doing a great job and it really takes fortitude step into a spot that was previously filled by someone as popular as Avi is.

Personally, while I miss Avi, I do like the charisma Matt brings in his own right to the group. I feel like he's a good match over all, and it is just silly to consider it 'unfaithful' to enjoy his addition to the group. If you want to keep faith with Avi, follow his new group as well :-)

Something I've always appreciated about Pentatonix is that when they make a music video, it at least makes sense; it matches what they're singing about and accompanies the overall feel of the song. They have class and style which I appreciate.

Well, you know, it's not a live video. Their voices are recorded. So it's probably Kevin himself.
I heard in the live performance Matt takes over the beat boxing, not sure how true that is though.

a lot of them have separate channels! if you want to see more of what kevin can do then you should watch his “down” or “sign of the times” covers. he beatboxes, sings, plays cello, finger drums, piano, and uses a looping system so that he can do it all live. he’s insane!

I love whenever ptx does a cover of something, I like their versions more, because they have so much complexity in their composition, it's so appealing to listen to.

Mitch what a remarkably clear, precise and true voice you have and this song really showcases it. It still blows me away that you guys found each other. Usually you have 1 superstar in a band but in Pentatonix there are no "me toos". Just so much incredible talent.
