Great video, I'm trying to break her habit on the release from the forearm power. She tries to steer the ball at the release that's actually slower the ball, what drills can I do to help her release the ball.
Is difficult to see how this motion correlate with an overhand throw. Trying to imagine an overhand throw starting from a supinated position and then instantly rolling into pronation at the split second of release, which naturally gives the arm a jarring impact at rollover. It all makemakes sense up until the point of pronating the forearm. Is there any way to explain the timing of this natural inevitable movement of the forearm?
The part that seems to be skipped in every explanation is he in evitable rollover of the radius bone in the forearm, and how that affects the timing of “snap” or release. At what point do the fingers start spinning the four seam rotation? which comes first the rollover of the radius, bone or wrist flexion?
I have a video explaining this entirely. It is the main video on our TH-cam channel but you can also search for it, it is called "breaking down internal rotation"
Hi Roxane! Every pitcher is different and issues with command can be caused by many different things. In order to better understand what is causing your control issues, we'd need to see a video! If you'd like, you can email jill@fastpitchpower.com if you're interested in a video analysis or online lessons!
This is a really good breakdown. Thankyou
That backyard dead gras spot is awesome.

Thank you
I appreciate your content
Thanks for the videos
Forearm Fire greatly increase my accuracy
Nice analysis of pitchers who let that elbow get away as they roll over.
I want to ask how can I improve my control using forearm fire?
