November 19, 2023 Adult Forum - Honey Harvesting with Kurt Runzheimer

Midvale Member Kurt Runzheimer and his family have been keeping bees and harvesting honey in Dane County for more than 25 years. In an Adult Forum in Spring of 2022, the Runzheimer family shared how they raise and care for the bees and some of the environmental challenges they face.
In this session, Kurt will talk about how honey is made and collected and why honey can have such a wide array of flavors. He will do a demonstration of how honey is processed from the comb to the jar. Anyone will be welcome to try a sample!
