Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Wonderful! My oldest book is 238 years old and was purchased and rebound in pigskin by my Great x 4 grandfather , and I have several family owned books ranging between 1847-1863; but the prize in my collection is a first edition of Thomas Merton's 'The Ascent to Truth'
The Merton isn't even that old or valuable, 1951 first print, but I revere and respect the good Father so much, that my heart swells every time I open it ❤️

I love books, but I have a special weakness for old prints and the wonderful manuscripts created by people from ancient times to the present day, because even today there are those who they recognize the beauty of a handmade book, leather bound with the noblest materials, masterful writing and printing. You are one of the lucky few to own such rare treasures! (But you know this very well).
