I used 3rd party and in my opinion they are just as good as the original and still going strong. The only bit you don't get is replacement inner pads but my originals are fine and a quick wipe clean was all that was required.

But I just kept at it, slowly, starting with the top clip, then the bottom, and vice-versa, again, slowly, in different directions (?) and voila! Success, finally. Idk, I think they're just really finicky, but once I had a few clicked in and held the headphone securely while I used my fingernail to press the others in, it worked? I hope you got them back in, and if anyone's having a hard time, good luck, and keep at it maybe?
I ordered the Bose replacement pads and they look completely different than what I’m seeing online. I cannot get them on. First off they are all one piece. The R & L mesh is built or sewn into the outer cushion ring. There is no hard plastic rim with anything that can clip to anything. The edges are just a soft ply able fabric but with little to no stretching. The instructions are pretty useless as it shows one drawing and says “start at the top and pull it around”. Of course had that worked I wouldn’t be typing this now. These are apparently supposed to go on as if you a covering a bowl with a shower cap principle, however they seem way to small and I feel I will tear the rubber stretching them, or poke a hole in them while using an implement to feed it around. They did not give me a tool but I’ve tried using a rounded plastic tool to serve the same purpose. Looking online I haven’t seen any others like this. I’ve now had these for months and keep giving up and put them aside, today I’m trying again. 😫

@@JoeLamOfficial knock-off headphones ! :))) for which i got qc35 ear pads. these are like 1mm narrower and don;t clamp in a tight fit in those small clamps, but made them work with doublesided tape :D yey looking awesome again. thanks for the measurements!
Hi, I'm currently not looking into buying the QC45. As these ones are still serving me well. If anything, I've heard many people say the Apple AirPod Max or Sony's ANC suppose to be really good. If these fail on me one day, I might be tempted to try those out. Do you have the QC35ii yourself?
I have Sony headphones but just ordered some Extra Bass earphones from Sony. As much as I like headphones I think I've always preferred earphones. Over-ear headphones are bulky to carry around and annoying to use at the gym 😕
"Extra Bass"! Lemme know how you get on with them. Are they wired or wireless since you are using them for the gym? I really like my Bose over ear, but only at home. Outside and whatnot, it's too bulky.
@@JoeLamOfficial Wireless but the more affordable ones I'm getting doesn't have NC but I'm not too bothered. I think you can't have true NC with earphones. Over-ear headphones it works really well but I just wanted some bassy earphones. And yeah, headphones are too bulky to take out.
Usually in ear helps to block out a lot of the noise anyway even without Noise Cancel. Alternatively, you can rely on your EXTRA BASS to drown out any other noise. 🤣

Agree! I use the big one at home but really don't like taking the Bose outside. Too bulky when wearing or to carry in the bag. Any thoughts on the AirPod Pro? I might have a set coming soon too. 😅

You have some knock-off replacement pads you mean? I measured roughly about 7~mm by 9.5~mm.

I would wipe mine down with damp clean cloth each time or if its' extra greasy I usually clean with some alcohol wipes.
