Thanks! Hopefully one day I can track down the masters to some of this stuff. I'd turn them over to your or one of the others who has more extensive knowledge on how to clean up the audio and whatnot.
So crazy.. had a neon ballroom vhs way back and it had a clip of the band back stage ( I remember Dan in a big coat and him telling a fan he liked their winter attire lol) at this show and then had a tiny clip of a song… always wanted to see this set.
great show I won tickets to it from the End radio station. it was one of the coolest shows. snowed like hell, which was cool. i also felt like the oldest guy there. hhha I rolled a joint and smoked it 15 feet from a cop. he did'nt care but it freaked out my girl friend lol. Good times!
What the heck they played the pass? How did I miss this? I was living in Redmond at the time. I totally would have gone to see this. I loved them at this time.
Late March isn't exactly winter. Probably only a couple weeks before spring break. But it was a snow boarding event, I think. So they knew there'd at least still be snow on the ground, for sure! Probably just to be different.
I've only seen clips of the silverchair portion of the show, which came from this video that I posted here, and this is about the most extensive article about the festival I could find: BOARDTHIS!: Annual music and sports festival sponsored by KNDD-FM, with The Offspring, Everlast, silverchair, Zebrahead and The Living End, March 27, The Summit at Snoqualmie, $36. Seattle radio station KNDD107.7 FM "The End" will have The Offspring headline its fourth annual winter music and sports festival, now called Board This! The Offspring fits the bill, literally. A punk band from Southern California, The Offspring currently owns the No. 2 spot on the Billboard album charts with "Americana." And Board This! is a punkish festival on snow. The daylong event at The Summit At Snoqualmie includes pro Boardercross races, double-barrel half-pipes, and an "On-Snow Adventure Playground." Also on site is a trade show expo featuring new skis, snowboards and games. Tickets are $36. The price includes admission to the concert, the games and the ski lifts. Tickets for Board This! will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through all Ticketmaster outlets.
@@danedrums7875 No prob! I also found info on a concert The End put on there the year before in 1998 called Board Stiff that had Our Lady Peace, Rancid, Harvey Danger, Blink 182 , and The Specials. And in 1997 Board Stiff had Dinosaur Jr., Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish and MXPX.

The snow during "emotion sickness" just added to the epic song

Clips of this have been out there, just in crappier form. Not that this is great, but it's better than what had been uploaded already.

Chris "thats cute"👕
Hopefully this was transferred to digital, that tape isn't going to last much more
Is this the same concert that is in the Emotion Pictures video where they are playing when it's snowing? Looks very similar
What's that song playing at 43:51? It sounds so familiar but for the life of me I can't name it
EDIT: nvm I remember; it's Vasoline
Do you still have this video?
What do you mean?
@@JarodFrank if you have the file of the video
@@NegativeRemasters Pretty sure I saved the file. If not, I know I have at least 2 VHS copies of it.
@@JarodFrank oh, thank you, can you send me?
Why in the hell would a promoter schedule an outdoor music festival in the winter in the Cascades?

@@JarodFrank Snow stays on the ground in that area well into May some years.
