In Denmark in 2010 I rented an Audi. The front struts were FSW to my delight. A couple of years later made in USA Audi's were NOT using FSW on their front strut towers. Spot welding doesn't hold a candle to FSW on sheet metal. Subscribed.
Actually, FSW tools are designed to minimize stress. The process doesn't melt the metal but rather mixes it mechanically, which reduces thermal stress compared to traditional welding! Thanks for your comment!
We like to think of it as a mix of science and a bit of magic! FSW is a fascinating process where the tool mixes materials without melting them, creating a strong bond. It's like modern-day alchemy! ✨ Thanks for your curiosity!

I bet the stress imparted on the work is astronomical lmao

What kind of wizardry is this?
