Agreed! Mine was Samsung Tab A but other videos didn't cut it - yours did. Mine had an extra part in between that showed "Updating System" then "No Connection" but after a few minutes it finally brought me to the Factory Reset page. Thank you!!

Everything is fine until it reboots to the Welcome! screen, has you pick the Samsung policies that you agree to and so forth. Then you get a screen that says: "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device." Now we're hooped. No idea what account was used on this particular tablet. We have 36 of them!

To by pass the activation screen you need the Google account that was previously logged on the device. If you don’t remember it , you can go to a local shop and see if they can remove it. Some places chargers a few for that. Not sure how much. I hope this helps.

Reset worked. Just once the device is back at setup screen it says "An unauthorized attempt has been made to reset your device to factory default settings. Connect to a wifi or mobile network to verify your identity."
