Hey DarknessLPs, yeah, I am pretty busy with other projects at the moment and have not stitched in about two years. Good luck with the search, there are good bags out there.
You pretty much have to make your own bag like this because the new bags on the market aren't filled enough. I plan on stuffing a Zeekio Rage bag with some extra fill to make it more like I want. I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to cut the stitching to allow it to be filled more. You make some awesome hacky sacks! Good video!
Ultrasuede light is the best material, you can get it from online from fields fabrics. For your first few bags you can use any thin non-woven fabric from your local fabric store. (non-woven fabrics won't fray)
are you no longer making footbags to sell? I went to your GGfootbags store on etschy and it was blank...I was hoping I could order a custom design from you
@losthawks102 You can experiment with any non-woven fabric. A woven fabric will fray and drop a stitch. Ultra Suede Light and Amaretta are the preferred fabric though they can be hard to find locally.
@GaryGargan Thanks, and no problem about the response time. I have another question though, is that jar of pellets you ordered the smallest amount of pellets you could get? because that seems like quite a lot. Also, if you remember what specific diameter they are, that would be a great help as well!
@andrewbentley83 Nope. I have filled them with sand but they always leak a little bit. However if sand is what you have then you can always refill the bag through the bleed holes every couple of weeks.
@MrTrickshots1 I use UltraSuede Light, the best source for this is Fields Fabrics online. You can buy as little as 1/8 of a yard which is good because USL is expensive, plus you can make a lot of bags with one strip of fabric. You can sew with other fabrics, but USL is one of the best. Good Luck.

@GaryGargan Thanks man, I felt bad for asking you so many questions haha. But you gave me all the info i need, I think ill just order the 10 lbs from the website. Thanks again!
@GaryGargan - I've made a total of 3 bags, and only one 32 panel. It took me probably 10 hours. I'm terribly slow. What size bag does this template make? Compared to a golf ball, for instance.
@License2chill15 - I print out pattern on ordinary paper. I then glue or tape the panels to some thin clear plastic. I then use and Xacto art knife to cut out the panels. There are easier ways to make stencils; for instance, you could glue the paper to card and simply cut the card with good scissors. Then instead of tracing inside the clear plastic, you trace around the outside of the cardboard pentagons and hexagons. HTH. GG.

@MrHuntert27 from Pellets LLC in NY. They were pretty cheap, though shipping was almost as expensive as the pellets. The pellets are stainless steel conditioned cut wire shot. Sorry about taking a few days to reply
@hamsterlover2325 Plastic BB's are ok, but would be best to mix in some metal BB's for better weight. BB's are big, smaller fill is better for staling. Any material that does not fray can be used. I used light leather once but it was very hard to sew. To make a bigger bag use a larger stencil, (larger panels)
It makes the bag more round. It has a more predictable path in the air the more spherical it is. Too much and it will be rolly, and not as easy to stall, too little, it won't fly as well and it will be extra stally. 32 panels are said to be more towards the middle of the spectrum, making them the best of both worlds.
i clicked on the link you put and it leads to an error website, and suggest google search to find it. and nothing really help full comes up.... how can i get the patterns?
@XxlittlememsxX This is a very good question, I would suggest you buy a good bag first. Then if you want to follow the path the ultimate foot bag enlightenment then you need to stitch your own bag.
The link to the site is no longer working, sorry. Not sure where to get the stencils otherwise. Most folk cut a pentagon and hexagon and trace around the outside, I use flexible cutting board plastic and cut out the hexagons and pentgons. Then it is quick to outline the panels. Any thick clear plastic should work. Good Luck.
@badgerhockey99 - Yes I do. I'm currently taking a hiatus to move house. Inbox me if you want more details or look me up on modified.com where you will find myself and other Stitchers offering custom bags.
@Kevin2001Valencia - sorry but i do not speak Spanish, if someone wants to translate the video and send me the subtitles I would be happy post a second video for folks who are more comfortable with Spanish. Good luck
@HolyNinja1228 I ordered 10 lbs, I think the diameter is roughly 2-3mm.I think you could order less, but shipping would still cost you. If you want say 1 lb or less you could send me a message and I can cut you a deal. GG

Did u make the red and blue one cuz it looks really good
Excellent tutorial. Roughly how long does it take you to make a 32 panel bag from start to finish?
@GaryGargan Thanks man, I felt bad for asking you so many questions haha. But you gave me all the info i need, I think ill just order the 10 lbs from the website. Thanks again!

Great job! Amazingly helpful video, especially the pattern maker link. However, i have one question- Where did you order those steel pellets?

nice hack bro.. i liked the one in the background it looked really good

I likes the blue one in the background
Would this stitching be good enough to hold sand? have you gilled them with sand before?
I get my ultrasuede light online from Field's Fabrics. You can buy as little as an eighth of a yard.

@MrHuntert27 You can also use BB gun BBs.
how much ultrasuede, approximately, do you need to make one of these?
i clicked on the link you put and it leads to an error website, and suggest google search to find it. and nothing really help full comes up.... how can i get the patterns?
@IconOfGrace Usually about the size of a golfball... but i stitch pretty close to the edges, you might get something slightly smaller...
I'm pretty sure it would be 12 pentagons and 20 triangles (actually are hexagons because the corners are cut off to make 3 additional sides)
how many pentagons and how many triangles do you cut out ?
the link no longer works. what are the dimensions in inches of the panels?
@loverswitchblade If you lay it out carefully, I'm going to say a 6 x 6 inch piece of fabric would work.
@badgerhockey99 Yup! That's a three stitch bag.
where can you find the metal pellets
@GaryGargan do you sell them if so how much r they
what is the material you use for the hacky sack?
Yeah sure, this sounds like an interesting project and I'd be glad if it helps out the stiching community. Send me a message and we can work it out.
@poizon66 - it goes through phases of being available and not working, check back once a week until it starts working again.
@IconOfGrace - about two hours start to finish, for a good bag. Quicker if it's a two stitch bag and I'm in a rush...
would any fabric work?
@XxlittlememsxX This is a very good question, I would suggest you buy a good bag first. Then if you want to follow the path the ultimate foot bag enlightenment then you need to stitch your own bag.
what type of fabric you use ??
How much will you sell these for
The video title is telling you how to stich a 32 panel hacky sack. Panels are basically the faces of the sack, so 32.
What material should i use?
The link to the site is no longer working, sorry. Not sure where to get the stencils otherwise.
