    Hi Steve! Great video thank you for the info. I was wondering if you’d be able to help me out with an issue. I hooked everything up as shown in the video, but for some reason when the motion sensor is triggered and the relay activates, it cuts off power to the video player. Any idea how I can fix this? Thank you so much!

      Can you take some pictures of how you have it set up? If you can, email them to me at: Steve@GraveDecor.com

    would this work for a projector as well if say you had a ghostly figure as your main then shoot to a triggered startle?

      It should. You just feed the video player output to the projector.

    Would this work for a projector, looping a black screen and triggering a ghost?

    • @TheMakersCave
      @TheMakersCave  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure would, as long as the projector has an HDMI input.

      How about if i split the connection to the media player to a second media player, so one triggers from continuous loop to black screen while the other triggers from black screen to a jump scare? Will the connection to media player provide enough power to split it to trigger the two?

    Great video and fun product. In the product description it states, "you only need to supply an SD card and an HDMI card". What is an HDMI card?
    I look forward to getting this in time for Halloween.

      First, thanks for watching. Second, thanks for letting me know I have a typo in the description, it should say "HDMI cable". So much for my proofreading skills :)

      @@starrchild2010 Absolutely, this video project is super simple. How did you want it activated?

    Can you trigger the scare scene from the motion sensor only?

    • @TheMakersCave

      Unfortunately the port can't support any voltage for triggering, like what would come out of a 3 wire PIR sensor. You could use a PIR/Motion sensor that is made for a security system. They usually run on 12V and have an internal relay that is triggered by movement. You would connect the video player adapter to the normally open connectors. I believe this one has that kind of relay: amzn.to/3g7gC9F

    one idea to eliminate the black screen between the static and jump scare is to add 1 second of the still shot before the jump scare starts so people notice the flicker and then look and then bam, so you are adding a 1 second buffer to start the scare. it may not matter though like you said, it's quick and effective!!
    showing this as our DIY of the week on the Haunt Hour webshow this tuesday night May 9th 6pm pacific. th-cam.com/video/So35Pu-YIbA/w-d-xo.html

      Thank you very much! I'll be sure to watch tonight. BTW, that's a good idea on the jump scare.
