Woo hoo! Just came back home with my happy face on, after practising forward crossovers at the skaters cage, and so chuffed this video has finally dropped 😁
I think every skater alive should be working on and improving their stopping methods, because that's the ONE area that's going to make the most difference in a crunch moment. The more functional, fluent options you have the better.
Yes I was stunned how quiet that space was co widening its in Manhattan with a zillion skaters around. It’s the absolute ideal venue (except no roof for shade or rain cover but we’ll take it). Can’t wait to skate there again one day.
@@SkatefreshVideos Good find. Having skated in the Rio midday sun I don't think the lack of shade will faze you. Might be a different story for your pupils though!
I have a laser coaching session on my channel with someone learning the Magic slide…. I’ll try to find it for you tmrw and share the link. Bad connection right now
Ashaaa im inline skatter in Ethiopia I have seen all your videos n I'm a fan ...but ma wheels are done (finished) here we don't have any spares n I'm forced to stop 😢 so if there is anything you can help me with please 😔
Asha... Nice to see you in the NYC, but we need to talk skin care Sista Girl. I'm going to email you and I need to you to provide an address so that I can send you a few things. 😉 Your skin care routine will also make great content. 😁 Just do a short to let me know you when you get it.
That's sweet of you but I've been working outdoors for 24 years (sun, wind, heat, cold) and despite wearing factor 50+ protection for all that time (with frequent replying every 1.5-2hrs) my skin has taken the brunt of it. I also have never owned a car and use a bike (or skates) instead, so all those hours most people are in their cars I'm on a bike (in all weathers) and again, my face takes the hit. It's the downside of my job. I;d have perfect skin if I sat in an office all day probably.
I unfortunately can't make any changes with the audio. I think in real life coaching (as apposed to a tutorial style TH-cam video) I talk too fast and that's the main issue. Doesn't come off well on camera.
Yup, you got me. I have a lot of info to impart and in these short sessions we don't have the normal private lesson time. I am trying to slow down and then stop.
Two of my favorite skaters in the same video!
funny to watch the master of urban skating getting teached 😅
We can all learn and polish something new, even the best skaters.
@@SkatefreshVideos yesss.... One of the most important things we should have in mind 💕
You should never stop learning.
Love this collab! Ari is one of my faves to watch.
uhh.. what a combo

We aim to make you smile. Won’t be long before you’re doing this!
You guys got that golden hour beautiful light. Nice!
We skated till it was literally dark! Was a very, very hot day....approx 34 degrees C. Crazy hot.
sweet, crossover episode
Absolutely love this colab. The slides look so cool!
I love collaborations .... you two are great
You both are awesome.
That was really nice.
fun to watch and full of interesting tips!! Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! We aim to please.
Just goes to show even the best skaters never stop learning.
But they are learning how to stop... righttt?! Sorry 😬

I've been looking for a spot like that NYC with ground like that to practice on, I'll have to try that spot!
If you’re within reach then Pier 76 is just brilliant. Perfect ground, breeze from the water, ooodles of space. Skate instructor heaven ❤
Awesome video!
Nice video! Love it.
Hi I'm Indian very halpe full your video ❤❤❤
Great place to practice skating. So few people for such a big city.

I ❤ Ari
I wish Asha would make a tutorial for the magic slide, something that is very detailed because the videos I found were very surface-level

@@SkatefreshVideos Love you Asha, keep it up!!
Great video. What about a triple powerslide? It looked like you had enough momentum to pull it off.
Yes that's a good option particularly when on a slope where you can just keep jumping onto the other side. Super fun.
💗💗
Asha, alguna razón en especial por la que ya no usas patines de 3 ruedas?

That's very sad. What size of wheels are you using? Maybe we can get some to you. Are eat bearings and spacers oK?
❤❤💚💚
does anyone know where they are skating in this video? i didn’t catch it 4:20
This is Pier 76 in New York. A really amazing skate space on the edge of Manhattan on the Hudson River.

It is a shame we can't hear you properly Asha.
Audio was fine for me, for both of them?
@@nickybateleur no, only Asha I can't hear properly.
Maybe try using stereo headphones or speakers... The mics are hard panned left and right, which is quite nice I think😅

oh god. :-) The man can't say anything because the woman talks non-stop.
