I am becoming very fond of this song! I love ALL Kevin Matisyn songs, it's the combination of voice, lyrics & emotion that make these songs so damn good. I seriously only listen to him all day, shower time, drivie time & while cooking...it's an addiction to his music.
Are you saying love Or are you saying nothing Still life is a crime That I can't ignore Your perfect ways will follow The temperature that's rising All this time you never let me think It was the hardest part to know It was the fastest we could run It was the farthest we could go We are a lie my angel Cause for hate and A cause for ending It sounds so easy But everytime we were supposed to let go We'd make love Now pull me closer let the heat take over Call me your way Call me away Don't end it open I tried to love you like before If this was our night It was the best one of our lives Are you saying now Or are you saying never The still frame in my mind cannot be ignored And all I can remember Is the way you moved your body And how your lips never said no But it was killing you inside Cause you thought I was the one And now it's out of your control You have arrived my angel Cause for hate and A cause for ending It sounds so easy But everytime we were supposed to let go We'd make love Now pull me closer let the heat take over you You And we were drawing lines not to cross So we would never feel a thing And now it's breaking you apart Just like it broke your heart Cause for hate and A cause for ending It sounds so easy But everytime we were supposed to let go We'd make love Now pull me closer let the heat take over Call me your way Call me away Don't end it open I tried to love you like before If this was our night It was the best one of our lives
I can't believe I found this tonight. Seriously, this is my favorite song ever. Thanks to Kevin and Parabelle for making it really come alive again. Seriously, this song means a lot to me and I really needed to hear it. Big fan in Kansas.
After being a huge fan of all of Evans Blue's and Parabelle's work and listening to it all the time through the years...I find that these acoustic versions are the only one's I can listen to now... so good!
I'm surprised I haven't listened to this song until now. This was, like, the only Kevin Matisyn-era Evans Blue song I hadn't listened to and to hear it in acoustic is a delight. Parabelle ftw :)
we were drawing lines not to cross So we would never feel a thing And now it's breaking you apart Just like it broke your heart Cause for hate and A cause for ending It sounds so easy But every time we were supposed to let go We'd make love Now pull me closer let the heat take over Call me your way Call me away Don't end it open I tried to love you like before If this was our night It was the best one of our lives
So they made a music video of them doing an Evans Blue song that was on the album The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal Of Life Ends from 2007. Which he was the singer for the album before being voted out of Evans Blue.
Last I heard they were almost sold out and they weren't going to be printing more. so you need to go to their website cynicalinc com soon or you will miss it. I also recommend their latest cd and any others they have. amazing on disc and amazing live.
I think the fairest statement on here was made by newskin0927 that Evans Blue without Kevin Matisyn is just not Evans Blue. Don't misunderstand they are all fine musicians but no one can deny Kevin's unique voice carved out the sound that made Evans Blue real for a lot of us.
Now....here we have my third favorite song. Q. Originally my first/first favorite song. (I song like a confused timeline) This song is probably-lyrically my favorite. Uno es blanco to my soul. Did I say that right?
@Dragonlacrosse07 I'm the same but Parabelle's stuff is great on it's own. Reassembling the icons is a great album. if they ever do Lifter acoustic, my head might explode
Exactly my thoughts. Kevin really made the band. HIs vocals are so unique, and the songs that he wrote were beautiful. Combined Evans Blue's first two albums had some of the most unique music I've ever heard. I can't stand their music since they've replaced him.
Wow, this comment section is like Hollywood Undead, Kevin is an outstanding vocalist and songwriter, but Dan isn't bad in EB. I love both Parabelle and Evans Blue the way they are, and as long as Kevin can sing the songs he wrote in EB what does it matter?
@Spinnr75 i agree, i like their sound. but kevins vocals and songwriting are awesome. there needs to be more differentiation b/t the two bands so that theres no more comparison.
Rofl! Very nice. And true. It kind of sucks though bc the only good thing about EB where they are now is their music, but I just found out a couple of days ago that their drummer left. It kind of makes me wonder if that band is falling apart. If it gets to the point where they get a new guitarist, they might as well change their name bc they'd have lost the last thing that makes them Evans Blue.
He didn't leave. he was voted out. or that's what I was told. his wikipedia page says this "Due to unresolved issues, Kevin was voted out of Evans Blue and on July 28, 2008" maybe you shouldn't be so resentful towards Kevin maybe you should place the blame on Parker and the others.
You're right Erase my scars is heartfelt and I know all about it, but if you can listen to Erase my Scars and this Time it's Different and not hear that it's THE SAME THING your ears are broken. If you don't like Parabelle that's your loss. I'd bet you haven't given them an honest listen. I at least have given Evans Blows a chance and they blew it. Dan's a wannabe and Kevin's growing as an artist. you can have those bubblegum pop rockers I'll keep Parabelle they have substance
Why must you all keep comparing Parabelle to Evans Blue? They're both amazing. And yes, Kevin sings AMAZING. But, so does the new Evans Blue singer. Both bands are great, and you can love them the same.. I sure do
@bnicoleex3 the comparison is inevitable because they kept the name Kevin made made relevant. and are now using songs he wrote to keep the spotlight on them. they also released a single on the same day as Parabelle just to keep any of the fame Parabelle might get pointed at them. Dan might be ok in a more "pop-rock" manner. but he couldn't carry Kevin's mic stand in a wheelbarrow. I suggest they drop the name and change it to something more mainstream to fit their new style
Is that why they are coming up with such classics as "Erase my scars" and "This time it sounds the same as erase my scars"? because Parker's such a musical genius? give me a break, the talent in Evans Blue came and went.
@iluvpigeons See I disagree, I think they should just change the name. and write songs like bulletproof they're always going to be compared to Kevin if they keep the E|B name. but as a new band they would be good if they have the right audience.
@newskin0927 this is the funniest fuckin' comment I have ever read on youtube!! hahahaha... what makes it funny is the truth behind it.. thanks for the laugh, bro
Dan's grown on me since the release of Graveyard of Empires, but the current Evans Blue sings a very different style of music and I really do wish they'd change their name. Graveyard was very much a step in the right direction for them; it had more experimentation and range, but the levels were awful. I can see their third album being great, but not quite excellent.
You guys are acting like it's illegal to like both Kevin and Dan. Well, guess what? It's not. And if I'm wrong, then arrest me. Because they're both amazing.
How is it different if it sounds just like Erase my Scars?. no thanks. I've given Dan several chances. Bulletproof was all he's gotten by me. everything else is just garbage
One of the best song writers out there. His songs all tell a poetic story. Evans Blue will never be the same without him.
Evans Blue was him bro.
Evans blue is trash without him
shut up suck up

Are you saying love
Or are you saying nothing
Still life is a crime
That I can't ignore
Your perfect ways will follow
The temperature that's rising
All this time you never let me think
It was the hardest part to know
It was the fastest we could run
It was the farthest we could go
We are a lie my angel
Cause for hate and
A cause for ending
It sounds so easy
But everytime we were supposed to let go
We'd make love
Now pull me closer let the heat take over
Call me your way
Call me away
Don't end it open
I tried to love you like before
If this was our night
It was the best one of our lives
Are you saying now
Or are you saying never
The still frame in my mind cannot be ignored
And all I can remember
Is the way you moved your body
And how your lips never said no
But it was killing you inside
Cause you thought I was the one
And now it's out of your control
You have arrived my angel
Cause for hate and
A cause for ending
It sounds so easy
But everytime we were supposed to let go
We'd make love
Now pull me closer let the heat take over you
You
And we were drawing lines not to cross
So we would never feel a thing
And now it's breaking you apart
Just like it broke your heart
Cause for hate and
A cause for ending
It sounds so easy
But everytime we were supposed to let go
We'd make love
Now pull me closer let the heat take over
Call me your way
Call me away
Don't end it open
I tried to love you like before
If this was our night
It was the best one of our lives
Someone very special got me hooked I love Parabelle and Evans Blue ♥
the girl in the background singing is awesome

great version
great job with the girl
starry eyes great album
Mejor cantante no hay,felicidades.
Parabelle IS AWESOME!!!
I love this song, like most songs. And Jasmine really adds an extra touch that makes the song that much better.
IF you haven't seen the two guitarists that are with Parabelle live, ....man go see them!!! They are great in Parabelle .
I'm surprised I haven't listened to this song until now. This was, like, the only Kevin Matisyn-era Evans Blue song I hadn't listened to and to hear it in acoustic is a delight. Parabelle ftw :)
thanks dude, looked her up and her voice is awesome. Glad i found out about her
I've found all of kevin's stuff translates well into acoustic. probably why I like the guy so much
we were drawing lines not to cross
So we would never feel a thing
And now it's breaking you apart
Just like it broke your heart
Cause for hate and
A cause for ending
It sounds so easy

that's my buddy kyle mathis on acoustic. and this is a hell of a band. i hope the best for all of them..
Now....here we have my third favorite song. Q.
Originally my first/first favorite song. (I song like a confused timeline)
This song is probably-lyrically my favorite. Uno es blanco to my soul. Did I say that right?
Can he just remake the first two albums with this band? Cause they would be great.
Xakarath they did remake a summit borderline.
Still crossing my fingers for a drop oceanic with the next crowdfunding
Where can i find this CD is awesome!!
@Dragonlacrosse07 I'm the same but Parabelle's stuff is great on it's own. Reassembling the icons is a great album. if they ever do Lifter acoustic, my head might explode
I have seen them. saw them again last week as a matter of fact. I miss Gio though
@RockRebel219 I was amazed no one else had done it
Exactly my thoughts. Kevin really made the band. HIs vocals are so unique, and the songs that he wrote were beautiful. Combined Evans Blue's first two albums had some of the most unique music I've ever heard. I can't stand their music since they've replaced him.

@Spinnr75 i agree, i like their sound. but kevins vocals and songwriting are awesome. there needs to be more differentiation b/t the two bands so that theres no more comparison.
Go Cellist! :D

Who is the girl that is singing?
I'll take the original song over this one any day. LOVED Evans Blue. Resentment is what I feel that he left.
Call me your way; call me away...
Alright
He didn't leave. he was voted out. or that's what I was told. his wikipedia page says this "Due to unresolved issues, Kevin was voted out of Evans Blue and on July 28, 2008"

And we were drawing lines.
SOMETIMES IT WOULD BE NICE IF TH-cam WOULD NOT LET WHINNNNERS AND CRY BABIES PUT THEIR 3RD GRADE CHILDISH POINTS OF VIEW ON THESE GOOD VIDEOS.

@newskin0927 Well said man!..Evans blue sucks without Kevin

no thanks. I've given Dan several chances. Bulletproof was all he's gotten by me. everything else is just garbage
Definitely one of my least favorites of "The Pursuit" but it makes in to a pretty decent acoustic.
it's not illegal, just dumb
I wouldn't buy an evans blows album with your money
Bubblegum pop rockers??? If you go down to the store on April 17 your car's speakers will shove those words down your throat on the way home.
