- Hey what’s going on guys, recently I had the amazing opportunity to hang out with the 2023 European Champion Dang Qiu!
In this video I do a bit of training with Dang, tested out his equipment and even made him play shakehand in a match, to see if I had any sort of chance! Of course Dang Qiu is one of the best penhold players in the world right now, this wasn't going to be easy!
Dang currently uses Dignics 09C on both sides of his bat.

Ngl, Qiu Dang has one of the most aesthetically pleasing techniques among European players. His rpb and counter spin motions look almost poetic.
Dang is such a nice guy very down to earth! Inspirational athlete in every way
Only one problem. 09c is £80 a sheet.
No problem, the rubber goes a looong way.
It's worth it.
I don't think it's more durable. I would chose a Bluestar A1 or A2 instead

Everybody here is most likely not even close to their level and it's a waste of money to get those high end rubbers.
Dan is a very nice and knowledgeable guy . Also solid explanation by Dang for his equipment choice.
Such a nice guy, watched him life win his Championship against Darko in the Rudi Sedelmeyer Arena. First Pro table tennis match I ever attendet. The speed was unreal. Shout out and Congratulations Dang and best of luck hope to see you many years to come. Thx vor the video Dan!

Dang is a very pleasant athlete to watch. Win or lose, he keeps it calm and full of positivity.
After this advice your backhand looks much more simmillar to Timo's one. Dang is such cheerful btw) well done
For those who don’t remember, Dang was the first chinese rubber released by Tibhar, I put 2 of them on my blade when I started table tennis in the 80’s and that’s how I developed a strong and spinny backhand, so I guess Dang Qiu’s thought on playing a chinese rubber on the backhand is spot on, but you have to start early. Also at that time we could use speed glue if needed, and the Dang rubber was insane then, that clicky high end sound with even more tackiness and spin was terrifying 😅

Decent defeat for Deng 0:2 Dang Qiu. In the test match Dan played the second game quite well and was close to winning 1 set. And in training Den managed to play on par with Dang Qiu. How strong and fast Dang Qiu is can be clearly seen from the side camera.Greetings from Ukraine!

I love dan, but being his fan is so haaard, he always makes me suffer during his matched, he never has an easy game
Does someone has any details on his blade?
Usually when I see Dan play pros, I feel like he holds back a little. Not even on the service but mostly on the topspin rally’s I feel like he plays hesitant. Maybe just because the quality is so good with the pros. Idk. I just thought he played better here

Pro players are miles away from amateurs or half profesionals. Dan is a very good semi profesional player and still gets woopt with shake hand grip...

try not to have your feet too far apart Dan. too far apart and you have less mobility. just a little adjustment not too much maybe a couple of inches. and do more footwork exercises. you're doing great and much better than when you first started this channel 👏 🎉
