@@babakazi808 buy a cheap midi pad and use it with a DAW that you like and take it from there, the equipment is not important you dont need to spend a lot to make some good beats
Saiber never used a live so I can’t really comment. The only downside to the mpc 2000xl imo are it’s outdated saving and storing capabilities. Floppy disks and loading times get annoying. But if you’re using it to jam out and make beats for fun, the mpc 2000xl is a great option. Just the look and feel of the machine, let alone the workflow, is very inspiring.
@DRUMMA DREW As a teen growing up today, I think the direction mainstream production isn't entirely to my tastes either, but luckily some people especially underground and ex-underground mfs are still building off of the traditional techniques rather than throwing them out completely.
Man I’m tellin you the truth, you are the only producer that I know on the internet that makes the best soul sampled beats, side to side with 9th wounder and J dilla. You makin me wanna make more beats. Keep it up, you golden! Eres un maestro para mi, saludos desde Denver, Colorado compa!
ojames1983 oh I know. I got very excited while listening to this. That’s my mistake, but I’m my eyes, he’s one of the only producers that isn’t huge like dilla and wounder that actually makes me inspired for these soul sampled beats. Cause a lot of em I hear from other producers are boring. So there’s my explanation. But yes I have my lines for my respect, but I do like me some cookinsoul, hell yea!
Glad you guys can appreciate boombap hip hop as it carried alot of generation through some crazy times. Now it's a memory unless you can really make a strong bumping hip hop album with very well done obscure samples.
Yo no BS I literally just discovered you this morning off the new Larry June Orange Season....and I just so happened to be watching MPC 2000xl tutorial videos because I’m learning, and came across your page. I’m from Chicago and a die hard Bulls fan, idk what type of fate and good energy/favors the universe has for me right now but I’m definitely rocking with it!!!!
Theres beauty in finding the right sample and taking your sweet time chopping it up just right man I have such joy when I'm working on something its therapeutic 😎✊🏾
Playing a record to sample and then leaving the stylus resting on the record will damage your records, I did this with a few of mine being lazy in this way over the years before I realised. Dragging a diamond stylus through the grooves creates heat, and then leaving that hot stylus resting in the groove will create deep pops in the record, very nasty.
Much love and respect from NH my friend!! Your really dropping gems on em!! Like speeding up the tempo on the MP after you got your sequence down. Your an inspiration bro for real.
You man are incredible, I love how you put the sound together, sounds awesome. I like my Soul, Funk and Hip Hop and I see what you achieving here. Peace Out from U.K!
I'm just bouncing on this banger after a long weekend hosting the italian beatbox championship, and even if i'm tired as fuck i still need to bounce my head to this masterpiece! Dope stuff man, real quality right here.

Got rid my 2000xl for the Mpcx.
I don’t miss my xl AT ALL!!
Can we PLEASE get beats like this to make a comeback, my soul needs it!
Why this man is not one of the top producer's in the game is a mystery to me. He's one of the greatest in my book
Much love

Lmao Dilla was around way longer than Cookin too just give it some time I bet he’ll get there someday doing what he’s doing!
you should look for Apollo Brown

@Fred Jersblad So does Soul just not exclusively, he can use just about anything
estoy pasando mi cuarentena viendo los videos de cookin en su salsa
Love the video! True it takes time to find the right sample and beat. Love the comical aspect of the video!
