  • Current supplies: My paper is cut into 3.5x3.5 inch squares from 70lb sketch book paper, my pen is a Uni Pin size 03, my pencil is a student grade Royal HB. If I color I will use either Prismacolor colored pencils or Artists Loft Water color dual tip markers.
A string is used to give a guide as to how to compose a tile. A string can be used as a literal 'border' to define an area or as a suggestion as to where to place a pattern. Sometimes in a finished tile the string can be clearly seen and sometimes it disappears into the work.

    Hello Dawn!
I really like this Tangle! The effect is so cool how you can see through one to the other! And when you put the shading on the black one it really popped out! Great job!
Your shadow box/picture frame turned out awesome! I showed it to my husband and he thought it was three dimensional! I had to explain it was only a sheet of paper! I'm sure your husband was thrilled to have it on his desk!
I really think your husband's hobby of riding the bike is a wonderful activity! So proud of him to be exercising for so long! I have always hated exercise! Ha ha sounds like you had a nice 4th!
My husband barbecued some hamburgers and his family came over for dinner! It was an early evening meaning they did not stay late like usual which was very nice for me so I could just rest! My mom also stopped by! There were definitely a lot of fireworks this year! As last year they finally made it legal again to do fireworks! Our subdivision and city is great by 11 o'clock it was all over and quiet the rest of the night! I'm glad we moved from our old city and it is much quieter and people are more respectful here! We moved when the kiddos were tiny we wanted them to grow up in a better neighborhood!
    Thank you! See you tomorrow!

Hi Dawn, hat brush pen do you use? I have one but. Have trouble controlling it because the brush is so soft! Love this tangle and your work!

Eleanor Nemiroff I'm new at tangling. The LePen Starting Brush works wonderfully for me. I just need to remember to keep a very light touch for thin lines.

Eleanor Nemiroff In her Sparkle video, Dawn says it's the Prismacolor Premier brush tip.

A member of my church passed away this Fourth of July. He had a heart attack and died instantly at home. His sweet wife tried to revive him with cpr. Just finished this tangle will post on FB. Would you keep Betty in your prayers. Thank you.
