The first thing I did was get an alliance with Great Britain, United Provences and Denmark ! I cannot stress enough about how important of a roll Britain will play. You must keep them on your side while you grow Prussia. The first country I attacked was Saxony which brought me into a war with Poland so I took West Prussia and then I immediately tried to get pease with Poland. Austria immediately declares war on you the next turn after you take saxony. Then I took Prague and Silesia and then got peace with Austria. Try to get an alliance with Austria after this to try to secure the south. I then took the rest of the smaller German nations to the west and then Readied myself for a French attack that I thought would come. Once you have united Germany under your banner look try to gain a foothold in the new world. Perhaps take out the Pirates if they are still around. Poland then attacked Austria so I decided to take out the polish and I honestly had some initial struggled dealing with the polish forces sneaking past my lines and retaking West Prussia but I was able to take them out after a very long war and I was able to take most of the polish territory the previously lost West Prussia
Hey there CPG my friend :) Fantastic advice and a real joy to read! There is nothing I can add to this advice and I am therefore going to leave it as "pure" as I can and I am going to pin it, so that everyone else can see what incredible advice this is! Thank you CSG my friend for your wonderful advice, brilliant!
CarolinaSports Guy I would recoment you making some protecorates. I left poland as my protecotat in lithuania, Belarus and galicia to Secure my eastern border with russia. I also Took courland ( polish puppet) and striked sweden in the baltics and peaced Them out. With the baltc port, you can build up your dominance in the baltic sea. Than i United Germany and attacked the rival Austria and split Them with turkey.
For who it is still relevant: I played Prussia campaign multiple times over the last couple of years and i found the best way to deal with the polish / austria forces is to blitzkrieg them. Just disband all militia / pikemen / cannons, keep all military inside walls. Build your city and researsch fire by rank. When fire by rank is almost done, you build up your army, put them at the borders and just attack all of them at the same time as soon as "Fire by rank" is done. After the first wave, keep pushing trough. Poland and Austria should both be so weak after the initial wave they wont have enough resources to push back. Beware of Russia tough, they are allied to Poland, i just gave them some technology (No important military) to befriend them again, long enough to take out Poland and Austria. And thats basically all you need: Try fighting it one front at a time, at least at the start.
Hey there Lolliepop my friend :) Sorry for the late reply Lolliepop. This is wonderful advice and will definitely be a huge help to those who are about to start this campaign in the future! Wonderful my friend and thank you for taking the time to post your fantastic advice!

Sad thing is, first country I played was prussia. That was my first ever tw campaign ever, once I found out that prussia was one of the hardest nations to play as I was like wtf!
Hey there Kronprinz my friend :) That is quite the baptism of fire there Kronprinz! Prussia is an incredibly hard campaign, even for the most experienced Commander and I salute your courage for deciding the make that your first foray into ETW! :)
Well, Prussia WAS one of the strongest of the German States afterall. Well done, Mala. For this type of campaign, I agree on getting on the good side of my neighbors, while building my army, and economy. As for potential targets, I'd deal with the Pirates and Barbary States first since they're easy to deal with, and you can use the Barbary regions to trade with Austria for Prague and Breslau. Hope you do this campaign in the future my friend.
+Drew Cobb (Patriot-112) Hey there Drew my friend :) Wonderful advice as always Drew and I had not really thought about hitting the Barbary States and the Pirates, but these would definitely be viable targets and also as you say, they would add to the diplomatic muscle you could have, if you ever need to bargin with another near neighbour! :) Thank you Drew for your very kind words and I hope to be able to do this campaign in the future too :)
No problem. Also, from what I observed of forts, the Artillery forts is more easy to defend, due to it's size, and you can put almost ALL of your troops along the wall, but still have a good reserve in the courtyard, the Star forts on the other hand are too big and almost take up the entire garrison.
Mala, I remember starting a Prussian campaign, first thing I did was take Saxony, then West Prussia. What followed was a Prussian\Russian\Swedish coalition against Poland and a 25 year war. Over the next few years from 1705 I took Stuttgart, Württemberg, Westphalia and Alsace. The borders eventually came to Russia being at my border with Courland and Lithuania and me with Warsaw and other areas. I eventually turned on Sweden with a fleet of 20 Ships Of The Line and an outstanding infantry army. With Sweden taken Poland had taken a final stand with 46,000 men near Greece and I only having 32,000 however the Polish army was taken out with ease due to my superior army. I decided by choice in 1745 to end the campaign because I got bored : p. But it was very fun
Disbanded all pikemen and gendarmerie cav, built up an army and took Dresden and Danzig (Gdansk) in one turn. Since then I've also taken Warsaw. Austria declared war on me right after I took out Saxony, and they're now sending over two powerful armies with an elite general. I've been bullying Poland quite spectacularly. Russia and Courland both joined them in the war, so I have to keep an eye out for them to the east. I'm only in 1703! Playing on hard/hard difficulty.
Hey there M my friend :) Now that sounds like a wonderful Prussian campaign you have going there and I like how aggressive you have moved against your near neighbours to capture as much territory as possible! Be wary of Russia M, they can be a real menace to you if you do not keep a keen eye upon them! Good luck General and please let me know how your campaign is progressing! *Salutes*
@@TWMalaHD Update: I'm now in 1714 and have completely eliminated Poland-Lithuania, and Courland. After I took Belarus from them, the Russians kept raiding my farms. I had previously tried literally everything to get a peace treaty with them, including state gifts, all the technology I had, money etc. For some reason they wouldn't accept, despite their public opinion towards me actually reaching friendly at one point! So, in retaliation for the annoying farm raids, I sent my experienced army into Ukraine and took Kiev with ease. Then I offered a peace treaty and they accepted. I then sent another army and took Poland's final province, Galicia. *Note to other players, once you have taken Warsaw it will take a while to restore public order - I had a full stack army in the city and exempted taxes completely but there was still a rebellion. This set me back quite a number of turns!* After taking out Poland and securing peace with Russia, I looked for the next target. Being allied to Austria and the United Provinces, it couldn't be either of them. I had been at war with France since my brief war with Austria after taking out Saxony, and always wanted to take France out anyway! Nothing had happened before and they were offering peace every turn, but with stupid demands to cease territory. Looking through my diplomatic relations, I saw Sweden was hostile towards me. Also they had a lot of mining resources in Finland and Sweden, and looked set to take Norway, having recently taken Denmark. I was optimistic, so the plan was to send one army to Finland, one to Sweden and one to France. However, when I landed in Sweden and saw their military power, I decided to march the third army into Denmark via Hannover (allies). I took Copenhagen with ease and then Finland, but Sweden had some strong armies and the fortifications in Stockholm were a big disincentive. So I went for Norway instead. Having taken Norway and marched for Stockholm, the Swedes retook Copenhagen, as my third army was still in Jutland and I had left one unit of dragoons in the city as I thought no Swedish armies were nearby! A bad mistake from me. Norway was the key to ultimate conquest in Scandinavia as I couldn't land troops in Denmark from the east, as the Swedes had a strong navy in Malmö and would intercept any ships I sent from the Baltic. Also they seemed to be able to cross troops into Denmark from Sweden, yet I couldn't! So I had to march back to Norway, embark onto a ship recruited in Bergen, and land troops in Denmark from the west. This was all rather frustrating! Stockholm was manned by garrison forces only and was a walkover. They had both their armies around Copenhagen but they were swept aside, whilst in the meantime they made a laughable effort to retake Stockholm. Goodbye Sweden! Now onto France! Interestingly, they have taken Scotland from Britain. Britain seems pretty weak. Obviously their navy is mighty but I don't think they have a single military technology researched. They're still using pikemen! So I will do them a favour when I take Paris. Maybe I'll even send an army to Scotland and then offer it to Britain in exchange for a trade agreement and alliance (for some reason I can't negotiate a trade agreement since they cancelled earlier.) Anyway, sorry for waffling on but I thought I would go into detail in case someone might find it interesting/useful. There are only eight major nations left other than myself, and I'm on good terms with all of them except le frogs. I still want to have a go at Russia though for their stubbornness earlier on. I'm raking in >30k every turn and I have three full stack armies, with a load of experience. I'm sure once I've taken France and replenished, I'll be able to recruit another full stack and march east. I'm really enjoying this campaign, it's so much better than any I did on the vanilla game. Cheers for reading and for the friendly reply!
I can't believe I just found this Video. I admit this now Prussia is my Favorite Nation to play as in this game. I normally start my Prussian Campaign by getting trade and alliances with Britain, United Provinces, and the Thirteen Colonies I go for a trade deal only with Savoy I also ally with Russia but at the start of the game I can't trade with them but an alliance with them serves well enough until trade can be established and I make no diplomatic overtures to Austria Sweden or Poland you stard trading and allied to Hanover and your trading with Poland. Then I marshal my forces while recruiting a force to guard Berlin and move to attack Sweden now that might seem like a strange choice but I figure since all the Germanic states are expecting me to attack them why not go for Scandinavia starting with St. Petersburg if you can get it before Russia great if not don't worry too much about it. Normally Sweden will take all of Denmark's Territories but Iceland so you can take all of Scandinavia if for some reason Sweden doesn't attack Denmark which has been known to happen they oftentimes declare war on me once Sweden is gone. Savoy normally falls to Austria pretty quick but as long as you have a force in Berlin the Austrians leave you well enough alone so wrap up your war with Sweden/Denmark get your troops in position and attack Austria I've found that Silesia, Prague, and Savoy can be taken pretty easily and Poland normally declares war when Austria is dead so take them out to. If at this stage you want to turn on Russia go ahead but I find that for some reason France attacks Hanover so you have a war with a traditional enemy of Prussia if you want to stand by your ally. That's an overview of how the first 30 turns of a Prussian Campaign go for me as I've said Prussia is my Favorite nation to play as so I like to think I have my start as them down pretty well I realize everyone likes to play differently but if your having trouble in the early game give my strategy a try.

I still remember my WC as Portugal, that was an interesting campaign. Nearly got stomped by Spain right near the get go, but once i was up and running (taking over trade nodes and such), i was able to conquer Iberia.... then France declared war, no rest for me it seems. Once i conquered Western Europe it was mostly progressively conquering India and the Americas. Portugal is worse than Prussia at the start cause you have a terrible King (still, could be worse *cough* Spain and Ottomans *cough* , but still not ideal) and surrounded by only Spain, and the other nearby lands to expand into are rather poor economically at the start and will take time to grow. Once Spain is down, the game becomes much easier, as Iberia is relatively defensible so long as you have a decent army and navy. Mostly, just focus on the Americas and India, trade is your strength, just as it is for Britain and the Netherlands.
Hey there GWR my friend! :) What a wonderful summary of your campaign, I thoroughly enjoyed it! This is the type of information and knowledge that is so important for new Commanders who may wish to take on the challenge of Prussia and it is fantastic when experienced Commanders such as yourself explain your campaign experiences...brilliant! Thank you GWR my friend for your fantastic support! :)
@@TWMalaHD You are most welcome. My fondest memory of a Prussia campaign is where i managed to make Hanover a protectorate, who i helped conquer the Netherlands, then, they went to war with and BEAT France without any help from me whatsoever..... i love it when those sorts of things happen. Also, a tip for you, Denmark's allies don't usually help it very much, and it usually breaks it's alliances if you declare on one of them (unless you are Sweden, and even then, it's a maybe), so last time i played Prussia, i bumrushed Denmark ASAP, neither of their allies joined, and got an extra 4-slot city and school, meaning i had 3 schools within the first 3-4 turns (i usually delete the Coaching Inn at Tannenburg for another school), giving you potential to start racking up a HUGE tech advantage, since once you take out Saxony, that's 4 schools within the first 5-10 turns depending on how things pan out for you. Hope this helps if you ever play Prussia again.
Well, this is the 3rd time I've tried this awesome faction in my life and I'm about to fail come the next few turns...damn the Martha confederacy amd their "enlightenment".
Hey there Don my friend :) I will confess Don, I have not yet campaigned with Prussia, but I would very much like too, I know they are a challenge at the start of the campaign, and that is just what I am looking for! Sorry to hear about your campaign Don, I know the Marathans can be very tough to break down, once they have full control of all of India's resources and the sheer amount of troops they can field! Could you tell me a little more of the background of your campaign, I always enjoy finding out about other Commanders campaigns and learning from them too! :) Thank you Don and speak soon my friend :)
+Andre Feijoo Parra Hey there Andre my friend :) It will be a very tough campaign and I hope to start a prussian campaign as soon as we finish the others currently underway :) You are strong enough Andre, never give up my friend, you will find a way, I have faith in you! :)
Andre Feijoo Parra I don't see how anyone could possibly think that the Prussia campaign is hard. You just have to dominate saxony and poland in the early game. After that point your armies should be absolutely fucking unstoppable because of your advanced military tech.(you start with the plug bayonet, and are thus usually the first nation to reach the ring bayonet and military syllabus. Once you unify Germany you effectively become a superpower because of your large armies. My tips for playing Prussia, take saxony and west prussia within the first five turns. After that everything should be absolute cheese. Your defenses at konigsberg make it practically impossible to take even if you garrison it with just a militia army.
Hey there Dien my friend :) I agree! If they had, who knows what they might have been able to achieve! :) Thank you Dein for your great support and it is a beautiful part of the world you come from my friend :)

Thank you Don and speak soon my friend :)
Just play the hohenfriedberg march. That will route the Indians in no time.
*PRUSSIAN DICIPLINE 150%*
Economy is my first go to and then I hit Denmark and build a navy
Spain and India LPs up soon? Pretty pretty pretty please!!!!
Prussia is hella OP.
Oh they defnitely are Keagan, you are spot on my friend :)
can you do a UK guide
Hey there Edward my friend :) Yes of course I can Edward, look out for a Great Britain guide soon :)
Well, this is going to be THE CAMPAIGN !!, wish you luck general, i always lose with Prussia, maybe i'm not strong enough...
Prussia/Germany should have been allies more often in history. Germanic brotherhood!!
Greetings from Saxony :D
Hey there Dien my friend :) I agree! If they had, who knows what they might have been able to achieve! :)
Thank you Dein for your great support and it is a beautiful part of the world you come from my friend :)
@@TWMalaHD Actually, "Dein Gewissen" isn't a name. It only means "Your conscience"
@@otsutsukiindra2647 My apologise my friend, I did not realise.

This is some wierd Total war empire. everything is different. this is not classic game, But it looks good. I shall find this mod.
Hey there ივანე მასხულია
my friend :) Darth mod is the premier mod for ETW and you will enjoy every second of it! :) Try out the AUM mode also which add many more elite units to Darth Mod and really does bring another dimension to the campaigns :)
Good luck ივანე მასხულია
and take my friend :)
If you playing Empire Total war without mods you doing it wrong. haha :P
Darth Mod is indeed the most popular, and probably the most stable. Allthough im also a fan of Imperial Splendour mod.
