The Eastern part of Poland wasn't Russian-speaking. Irl, USSR invaded to "protect the Ukrainian and Belarusian population of Poland"

Actually it was, during the 1930s, the eastern half of poland was majority Russian/Ukrainian/Belarusian speaking, but you are right about the Ukrainian and Belarusian part
