My today’s video is just for TH-camrs, website owners, and companies. It does not matter which niche your TH-cam channel and website are related to. If you receive sponsorships from companies or receive offers to place banners on a website, then this video is especially for you.
PCBonline is a well-recognized large company. if they can be a victim of such a strange scam, then rest assured, you may be the next target in line. Because the scammer has befooled me as well as PCBonline, in such a way that we did not even notice for a second that a third person has been doing all this behind the scene. Anybody can be dodged by the technique that he adopted. Though hackers keep trying every day and we continue getting fake sponsorship offers. If you are a TH-camr or running a website, I am sure you might have understood what I want to say.
Sending emails to people through making a fake id of the company, password stealing, fake sponsorship offers, etc., TH-camrs and website owners are now fully aware of these ploys. However, the scammer, about whom I am talking, planned everything in a genius way and was successful enough to extract money from the PCBonline, though I was lucky enough not to have suffered any type of loss. I will shortly share the method, which he applied for this purpose, through which obviously anybody can be tricked. To ensure, that you do not come across such an ironic situation, I decided to make this video.
Because I do not want any company to be deprived of its kitty or anybody from amongst you, to lose his or her hard-earned money through such deceitful tactics.
The scammer first created a fake email id matching my website, and then he contacted PCBonline asking them if they are interested to sponsor my website “electronic clinic”. You can see the email and fake email id by yourself, as well as the name Syed, mentioned in the end.
My name is Fahad and it’s clearly mentioned both on my website as well as on my channel. PCBonline company must have visited the website at least once to confirm the name. Anyways, let us come towards the second email;
Now in this email, you can see how this scammer tries to convince Cara, who is from the PCBonline company, and then Cara’s reply to that email, Cara seems almost trapped when asks about the Ad position and also requested the quotation. You can read both emails by pausing the video. There are similar other emails as well, which I am going to share with you. Go through these emails very carefully and check the technique yourself that the scammer applies. You will be baffled seeing what did he do next.
Ok, so you have read all the emails, the scammer has succeeded and somehow convinced Cara. When the scammer realized that PCBonline is ready for the payment, 90% of his task was completed. Now the scammer contacted me disguised as Cara, and here are all those emails which he sent to me.
