Nice to see you and Ryan again, Alexa, and of course, good to see those sweet kids. Cinnamon rolls and pizza looked great! By the way, the salmon recipe with the Montreal Steak Spice you recommended is awesome! We bake this salmon recipe all the time. Observation: While I am happy you and Ryan eventually found each other and for the nice life you’ve built together, somehow I cannot imagine men not ever noticing you before you met Ryan. Good advice for single women. I would only add the following: you have to do more than hope and wish for a relationship. Having a solid character and warm personality goes a long way in attracting a mate. And you also have to pay attention to diet and overall fitness, as they are the keys to a healthy, productive body and an enthusiastic mind.
@@AlexandraKarlyn Having a partner shouldn’t be the ultimate goal for a woman. Granted. After completing her education (not necessarily college) and thriving in her chosen career, her emphasis at this juncture should focus on not just on finding a partner, but finding a husband who will commit to her and father their kids. Of course not everyone wants marriage and kids. But most of us do. All of us won’t reach the mark, but it is an ideal we should strive for… for the betterment of ourselves, and especially children who thrive in a stable, two-parent family. So, our growth is not ALWAYS about love of self, or our own thriving at all costs; there are some things greater than self. For some, it might be marriage and family, for some it might be serving one’s country, or community work and volunteerism. Let’s try to love something other than self, which can unintentionally lead to an unfulfilled life of narcissism.
I think we have differing opinions (assuming I'm understanding what you're saying). What I've taken from what you said is that women should ultimately live a life of servitude (to either their husband, kids, country or community). I don't believe that a woman who doesn't want a life of servitude is a narcissist. Despite being a mother and wife myself, I'm all for women putting themselves first.
Totally understand black women wanting to give up...i was on the verge as well right before i met my fiancé. Its rough out there..but you just have to keep believing that your time is coming.
He's getting so big. In five years he will probably be taller than me 😅. The kitchen has come a longggggg way. Thanks for joining me on this home makeover journey!
I’m so happy for these videos!!!! Therapy is scary but so needed and I hope you get through that journey better and happier than ever before. On that note I’ve finally reached the point mentally and emotionally to need therapy so I’ve got an appointment next week and I’m scared but I need this.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Therapy has been life changing :). I'm so happy for you that you've made your appointment. We heal so much faster when we have someone validating our feelings/experiences.❤️
Bonjour Lexa.
Awww merci Marie-Annette! I'll need to come back to Paris and try your pizza haha. I'll admit, I've never had pizza in Paris, despite having visited many times!

Also want to add that having a partner shouldn't be the ultimate goal for a woman! Loving yourself and thriving on your own is SO important.
