I absolutely enjoyed this webinar. I have 30 years as an Elementary Math Interventionist. I'd like to integrate this software into my last days in school.

The animation (around minute 10) took me a long time to figure out. After watching the video multiple times, I noticed that he (silently) switched between Math Write and Draw. When you do this, it means that the items you're drawing do NOT count as formulas or anything -- they're just pictures. So...
    1. Write out both equations (using Math Write)
    2. Switch tools to Draw
    3. Draw your two vehicles AND the road
    4. Switch back to Math Write and write 1000 under the road
    5. Press the Animate button; a slider will appear (this is slightly different from the way he showed it; I think the program has been slightly updated to make this easier to find)
    6. Move the slider down to where it's not in the way of your artwork, and hit the play button
I must note that since writing these directions, I've tried doing the animation from scratch, following my directions and modifying them a bit, and I can't get it to work again!

9:20, this is incredible. You read my mind: As I was thinking that it would be really cool to show b moving along the y-axis to my students, and you literally did that. lol!

Where do I go to be able to use this tool? Will I be able to write a proof to a math problem or exercise found in a book? Thanks.

Would love to submit a screen issue. I copied the same problem around the 14:50 time and my graph did not look like the webinar, and then when I did the t=8 and ax -> and bx -> they bx didn't work. Hard to describe via text, but it would be great if I could take a screen shot and submit it for a "what did I do wrong" thing.

Awesome video! Thanks for all of your hard work on it! Quick question... can I turn off the feature where the system recognizes "the equation" that you wrote and it automatically types it out below it?

Thanks for sharing an wonderful stuff.
I have a query, In the math type mode , it is not allowing the user to the next line on enter it opens up as new type window.
Is that how the future works?
    Thanks for the wonderful video

This is a great concept. I would love to use this for tutoring. The majority of the features are amazing! But some features do not consistently work. Or I don't know how to use them??? @9:28 it took several times of me "swooping" to get b graphed. @14:28 the graph of “a sub x”, is displayed as a vertical line at x = 0, even though the table shows it should have a slope of 80. If you can offer insight, I would love to use this free tool.

Hats off to you guys. Can we use mathwhiteboard for practical geometry (construction)?

    • @ericcurts
      @ericcurts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I am glad the video was helpful! As for geometry, I don't believe the tool addresses that yet, but some good tools to explore for constructions would be RoboCompass at www.robocompass.com/ and also MathsPad at www.mathspad.co.uk/i2/construct.php

So why don't you do one of these boards for all the factors of thinking and feeling. "Cause there's too many variables" uhhhhh That should be well withing grasp if your that smart.

it's a hard science that ends up as thousands of ways of talking about happyness instead of healthyness.for example, apparently the three factors that lead to happyness is social, emotional, and learning. So that would suggest happiness does not lead to happyness. But wow the modicum of tiny truth that finding happyness in hopes to maintaining it is impossible and that's apparently impossible to accept. Ugh take your ego out of it
