- A friend of ours has a 14 year old kid who knows all about that good ol blue collar hard work. He works 12-14 hour days during the summer and he spends that money on what he loves, FISHING. So, I thought Id do a little something to reward that, because you dont see it everyday, and theres nothing better than giving back to our sports future generations. I took him to fishing destination Dicks Sporting Goods and led him to believe we were putting together a $500 AWESOME fishing package for another kid, and I needed his help picking things out... What a great thing! I love seeing people who've been blessed open up and give to those who will really appreciate it. I've heard of some bassmaster professionals just randomly taking a kid they bump into at a pro shop for a shopping spree and think that must be a great feeling. I remember as a kid always tagging along with Mom or Dad to Grandpa Pigeons or Target, Walmart or other box store with a fishing department. We'd split up, but they always new where to find me. I'd spend the entire time in the fishing section while they shopped, just staring at all the stuff I wish I could buy and imagining scenarios I'd use this lure or that one. Hopefully one day I can be that one to make another dreamers dream come true and set them up with all the good gear.

That’s awesome, I haven’t done it to that degree but almost every time I am in Walmart and a kid is looking at a lure I will buy it for him or if I see kids fishing I always keep lures to give them in my car.
