It is learnt from a youtube video that Central Govt banned swapping of engines of any other make. You can swap with a new engine having same CC from the same company. I came to know from internet that this is an international rule. You have to purchase a new engine from the original company and have to produce its purchase bill before the Motor Vehicle Department for fixing it on your old vehicle legally. I am also looking for whether the new Peugot company would manufacture and sell new petrol engines forAmby and sale engines as done by Hindustan Motors during 1996.
