Ah... This is how you tell good Nightcore, from bad. When the song sounds so well done, that if you didnt know the song, it would sound like it was a well made standalone song. Absolute +1 from me.

I actually kind of feel bad for Carolus. I mean, yes i know he was a horrible and mad King who wanted nothing but war... But still, he was but a child when he got to be King and no one dared to do something against the King who ruled with fear. More than once i stumbled about this quote from the Warrior king: "I'll likely be married to the soldier mob for better and for worse to live and to die.” The man was clearly mad, a megalomanic, a child which never got loved and had to watch his parents early demise. He had nothing more than the Wars, those games he seamed to be good at. A man, a boy living for the war and fights which in the end got probably killed by a traitor.
He was mad and weird. He hated the royal life of sitting around and the rituals, he wanted to ride and lead battles. Yet he vowed and never started a war. He just happened to be surrounded by monarchs who thought his crowning would make a weak country. Yet it was his dedication that cost him his victory, he never started wars, but he refused to end it. He could've ended the war in Russia long ago but refused and both his command and troops became tired of it. Hence why it's most likely he was shot by a subordinate as the shot was from the side into his temple, and they were insanely fast to pack up and leave as soon as he died. If he ever stopped wars, then most likely he would've had a terrible life at home.
Yes....much of his actions where very ferocious, he did not start wars but refused to end them. i see this as a king who is great but also mad. I think after defeating the other two kingdom then ending the war with Russia would have been the best for his survival, but yet again he did have no loved ones so it could explain his behaivor.
he wasnt horrible nor mad, it was never the mans fault, it was the situation he was put in, and he did a damn good job, he was still young though and didnt know when to stop, he couldve preserved his empire but he wanted to go the extra mile for his land and if he wouldve won he couldve secured stormaktstiden for the rest of the century, if he negotiated for less then his empire would still eventually slowly die off unless he would also reformed his army like his father before
