1:20 I have a R320 w251, just replaced the battery. I moved the seat all the way forward and removed the battery from the back. No need to unscrew the seat.
I can confirm you don't have to take the seat out. The side panel on my 2013 has the !£$$!!!! clip reversed though. It doesn't pull off, you have to unclip it where you can see at the door as per the video, then push it towards the bulhead. I found this after I'd half broken the clip, but its got hold of it and doesn't rattle. My battery was dated 12/11/11 and its 2023 now. So it's done good! I've had AGMs last this long or longer in bikes though.
The auxiliary battery supplies power for a limited time if system charging or battery voltage drops. The battery control module monitors system voltage. Think of it this way: when you try to start your car the momentary voltage drop might cause issues to the ECU and some other components.
Hi, i'm new to merceds benz, i recently bought 2007 R320 CDI , the previous owner told me that the battery was replaced no more than 4 months ago, now I hear the beeping sound in the dashborad, and the battery is drained to about 4.5 volts, i jumped the car and it took a while to get engine to crunk and start. Is there any thing that I am missing?
Mercedes is very sensitive to battery, make sure the battery is good and the alternator works properly. Also make sure the electrical system is not draining the battery. Lastly there are 2 batteries on these car, primary and auxiliary. Don't keep jump starting any mercedes, you might fry the ECUs...
Hey this is unrelated I've been having a hard time with my r320 cdi and initially when it ran it wasn't revving over certain rpms and would have a rough idle and sound like it wasn't firing on all cylinders properly so i changed the cps to see if it would change it but it made no difference. It would crank and run for a second then die and I looked at the throttle body while it cranked at it stayed shut the whole time. Would you the fix for it?
@@MaxReviewss by diesel pressure you mean fuel pressure? I've ruled that out, the fuel system pressurized when I cranked it, the live data confirmed it. The odometer is at 170,000mi or 273,000km its had regular maintenance. How would the timing cause the throttle body to remain closed while firing and be wide open when key is out of the ignition?

Thanks mate.
So right hand drive cars, main battery under drivers seat?
I'm in the UK
Hi, yes.
I just changed the big main battery in my 2006 r350. What does the small auxiliary battery actually needed for?

@@MaxReviewss Thanks for the reply!! 👍🏼
A good video, but painfully slow descriptions, that said, very helpful thanks.
Glad it helped
Slow is good. it makes stepping on to see where things go very easy 🙂
Will a bad auxiliary battery cause my radio to have no sound??????? I have a R350 2008
I don't think so mate.

Use a battery maintainer / trickle charger. Plug it in at home while you sleep , it will charge the 6v battery and 12v battery

Hi Nicolas, I think your issue is more like a valve timing or diesel pressure one... I would suggest checking them one by one...

Hey Bro, is this thing just on the Diesels, or all the R-class models?
Hi, no this is common between both petrol and diesel...
It's the same for my 08 R350 as well gas powered
Pain smfh...thanks brother
I get red battery signal l don’t know what l do
Multimeter is your friend, while car idling check the main battery voltage, bellow 13.5v means faulty charging system.
what a pain in the hole. i think iv the same problem. thanks for the vid
It doesn't really take much of a time, but still needs some moderate amount of tools and not a beginner job either...
My Mercedes w203 always showing battery sign I changed the alternator and battery the sign still remain and still not charging
Does it have an auxiliary battery?
@@MaxReviewss no
My one don't show any messages is battery need to change is just ded.
No warning sign, no replacement is needed.
Yes do not have to remove seat at all just let up and down works for me
You buy a Mercedes you get a Mercedes price to fix the job. Mercedes owner's dream "Hope to get a Corolla price to fix an issue on a Mercedes Benz."
DIY is the answer.
sehr gut ..
Thanks.
