Blackout at Manchester Airport causes large-scale flight delays and cancellations

- Flights from Manchester Airport in northern England were cancelled on Sunday due to a large power cut which affected both terminals.
The managing director of Manchester airport issued an apology after the power cut.
Passengers said they felt "stranded".
Manchester Airport, Britain's global gateway in the north of England, served over 25 million passengers in 2023. Currently, it is in the final phase of a transformation program worth 1.3 billion pounds (1.64 billion USD), which is set to be completed in 2025.
