People like Kaiserneko may not like the American soundtrack for whatever reason, but I know there's at least ONE thing it has over the Japanese soundtrack: It's more ORIGINAL.
Yeah, not just the soundtrack, but almost everything is entirely different compared to other dubs and the OG JP. Music, voices, script, intro(s) personalities, etc. I don't see the dub not being faithful as a good thing because that leaves more room for *Originality.* I mean they had to make up a script for DBZ, they put work into it. Now none of the above mentioned things are in English Dubs of this franchise anymore. like Kai and Super. Except voices, but the majority of actors are the same anyways, plus they still do a great job.

I remember when toonami switched from ocean dub to funimation and the epic music started in the episode ginyu assault. I was already hooked from the sayin saga but after that first episode with the music I couldn't miss a single one.

This was the theme that got me more attached to dbz.Bruce faulconer themes were an integral part of dbz which made it favourite around the world. DBS doesnt have such epic themes to make it catchy.

I love how everyone looks down at the Ginyu Force but don't realize how much of a threat these guys actually where, Reecome, who was the 2nd weakest of the bunch, bodied Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta, imagine if all 5 actually where fighting together, honestly even Goku would have struggled, like most sagas, this could have ended right here if it weren't for making the series more insteresting.

I prefer Ginyu Force Rules to this, but this on it's own is a good song. Faulconer had his moments but I'm personally not 100% it's the best fit for Dragon Ball at this time.

I remember hearing this theme on the Sept 1999 Funimation debut, wondering wtf happened to what we know now as the Ocean soundtrack... which reminded me more of a mythological show. False Piccolo and Gohan when fighting the Namekians Gohan shielded Piccolo Gohan and Frieza teamed up in a Namek style battle, Gohan and Frieza teamed up again and recently sacrificed himself in the same way Goku and Piccolo did when fighting Raditz. So they implemented some nostalgic moments. Plus there was the baseball game with Yamcha hitting home plate and being in his death position lol.
This music was displaying the fruits of training in 100x gravity. It had suspense, build-up, reasoning. DBS just hands out powers like AOL disks. It's dumb. Whichever character kills Zeno will be the only memorable moment, and not because Zeno's "strong", because it's probably the stupidest plot device ever seen in Akira's work.
