Hey guys, I'm sure you know this, but I feel I should point this out anyway. People keep talking about how extremely dark this show gets later on; while I do think it gets pretty dark, for a kids show, I'm worried people may be setting up your expectations too high. The show is truly, TRULY amazing, but I'm worried that you will be let down because the imagination can go quite wild. I'm sure you guys are aware since it is a Disney show, but I figured I should say something just to make sure you don't go into this thinking that something like mass murder happens. It can get dark, but not very. The characters and storyline get more complex and serious but it almost always keeps it a funny family animation.

@@tehclefty5317 well the show is great, but I still think it's best to maximize people's enjoyment of Gravity Falls by not hyping it up to much. Bold for an animation show, Gravity Falls runs the risk of being 'overblown' and be deemed 'revolutionary',.. big words as such. When sth has so high a reputation people's expectation for a show might exceed its quality, resulting in disappointment. so yeah I don't think he's necessarily downplaying gravity fals.

@@garr_inc He's mostly known for playing Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 and more recently Spider-Man: No Way Home. His performance in Spider-Man 2 is by many considered to be one of the best superhero villain portrayals.

Fun fact: Tyler ended up buying both the panther and puma shirt. He then cut them in half and sewed them together, to make a pu-anther shirt. You see him wearing it later in the show.

Also I think "Chutzpah" is an insult in Hebrew.

"Mr Atbash" is an Atbash cipher that is used in later episodes (but *not* for all of them)

I find it interesting they enjoyed this one as "something young boys can relate to" but not the Mabel and Gideon ep, where she's dealing with what a lot of young girls are pressured into. Maybe it was harder to relate because of their gender? I do like this episode a lot, it's very self contained but not as plot relevant as others.
Yeah, most likely due to not having experience as the other gender, also that this episode had a more obvious message and learning experience, while the other one wasn’t trying to send a message, just a story

Honestly I’d recommend y’all watch these episodes two at a time!! Since the episodes are short and take their time to build up throughout the show, I feel like it would make sense to. Anyway I love your content, your uploads make my week!!!

This has become my favorite watch along series.
It definitely gets better trust us!! The first half of the first season is more setting up and establishing the world and characters and then out of nowhere you’re hit with all this crazy lore and backstory. That’s all I will say and not give away too much.
This is definitely a mid-tier episode for me. Lots of solid jokes, but the overall episode is pretty lack-luster

I like how the first thing that came to mind when I first saw the really big Mannatour was "God Of War" and how he could be a boss, considering there are minotaur enemies lol
Another thing that gravity falls is amazing at is it’s lessons. I don’t know many other kids shows that tackle the lessons this show 11:43 does, and it does it very well!
I totally felt like Dipper when this episode came out in 2012, this isn’t a very popular episode but it’s one of my favorites

Gravity falls is one of my all time favorite shows from when I was growing up
Was so hyped when I saw that you guys were starting Gravity Falls. I’ve rewatched the series a few times, because I love it so much. BUT that being said, there are a few episodes that are easy skips and I always feel for you when you guys get to one. Lol.
Needless to say, this was one of those 😝
The Convenience Store episode is a good example of a really good episode, but it gets even better than that. Hang in there 👍🏼 Next week is one of my all time favorites.

Apart from Brooklyn Nine Nine and other shows you react to, I always look forward to these Gravity Falls reaction episodes. This show is a HUGE part of my childhood and seeing my favorite reactors react to one of my favorite shows just makes my day. Like what everyone says, the show does get darker. Though I'd use the word 'serious' rather than dark. It does get dark but I think the better term for what the show is like moving forward is 'serious'.
This in not my favorite episode. But this is Gravity Falls so it's still pretty good.

imo, this is one of my least favourites episodes but it still has good jokes. The messaging for both stories is just kinda messy. Like I get Stan should be himself but then Mabel introduces him as someone who needs fixing? And also that's a red flag for dating lol.

I say you gotta start doing the reactions if gravity falls more often because there's 40 totak episodes including both seasons and season 2 is where the story really picks up season 1 us more of a introduction to get to know to the characters
40 episodes really isn't that long. In a few episodes they'll already be 1/4 into the show.
