1)The biggest mistake students make in studying chemistry at the 10+2 level is not studying it from the beginning.
2)It is crucial to study chemistry from the start to avoid failing badly in the subject.
3)Another major mistake is trying to study advanced topics before mastering basic concepts, especially when preparing for competitive exams like JEE.
4)It is best to finish basic things first and gain confidence in preparation before moving on to advanced topics.
5)Sticking to one set of textbooks, particularly NCERT textbooks, is advised for a smooth transition and better understanding of chemistry.
6)For organic chemistry, it is important to have faith in the way things are presented, as the subject may not be as step-by-step as physics or mathematics.
7)Many concepts will start making sense once a substantial part of the syllabus is finished and revised.
8)Making a conscious and proactive effort to start studying from the beginning is essential, even if understanding is lacking.
9)Organic chemistry requires proper attention to reaction mechanisms and underlying building blocks.
10)Reaction mechanisms and basic concepts are interconnected with many so-called memory-based things in organic chemistry.
11)Inorganic chemistry relies heavily on memory work, but there is also a rational understanding connected to it.
12)A good way to reinforce memory work in inorganic chemistry is through spaced repetition, i.e., revising the material within 24 hours, then in the next two days, and finally within 7-10 days.
13)Physical chemistry is the closest to physics and requires problem-solving.
14)Background knowledge in chemistry, built up through studying organic and inorganic chemistry, will help in solving complicated problems in physical chemistry.

I was always good in chemistry. However, the topic that used to trouble me most in Chemistry was the inorganic part. While taking guided help during my JEE preparation, I was advised to follow the NCERT textbook. This was the best advice I received. Now I pursue my research in electrochemistry, and the same advice I give all my students is to start at the 11th and 12th standard NCERT textbooks.

Exactly sir, even JEE (Advanced) asks some questions directly from NCERT specially in organic and inorganic. Also from JEE point of view, once an educator explains the advanced concepts after that reading NCERT becomes very smooth and interesting.

I scored less than 50% marks in 11th chem but after reading all the ncert books now I'm expecting full marks in 12th chem boards and 99+ percentile in jee mains chem

🇮🇳 I never thought about it this way. Now I understand why the Kerala State Board rapidly switched to NCERT for the 11th and 12th standards. It’s very different to understand the concepts mentioned in NCERT. Now I get the significance. I will start learning NCERT with good hope.

11:53 I used flash cards for the same in class 10th for carbon and compounds chapter(the only organic chemistry chapter in class 10) .Unlike the previous chapters, this chapter required me to understand some reoccurring patterns. I used flash cards to track my trail of thought while studying the chapter (like writing chemical reactions using structural formulas to really understand the reactions), then I wrote prompts/corresponding questions on the other side of the flash card. I did not make any notes for the this chapter and those flash card replaced notes for that particular chapter . I did not just write question on one side and answer on the other rather I noted the reasoning (like hydrogens bonded to carbon are rarely moved in a chemical reactions because of carbon's small atomic size except in substitution reaction as it takes places under sunlight).More importantly I revised these flashcards regularly. I know that class 10 chemistry is not even a fraction of what I am going to study now in 11 and 12 but I am still planning to use the same method for chemistry in 11 and 12.

SIR...I request you to answer a question of mine which probably many ppl have in their minds...
When we solve the problems of physical chemistry or physics even, we come across a variety of questions; the logic or approach required for every sort of que is different, and we become familiar with it only through practice. BUT...what exactly to do if even after practice when we solve another sort of questions we are not able to find out the approach required to solve it, we try to solve that que with our own logics and approaches but we end up solving it in the wrong direction and we have to view its solution to see that ok we had to apply this logic...But we certainly cant memorise the logic or approach required gor every que, isnt it? So how do we develop it actually so that even if we come across new type of questions it should click in our minds that we need to solve it through this approach...? I would be grateful if u answer.

10th chem is easy bro, just understand what's happening in the reaction like what is breaking down to what you'll be able to understand many reactions like that
      for ex:- Pb(NO3)2 breaks into PbO + O2 + NO2
now don't ratify it, understand it..
      similarly Cu(NO3)2 breaks into CuO + O2 + NO2.
similar reaction right! this is how you study chem, also write down all reactions in page and draw a small circle or line beneath the compound to denote it's color and go through it daily

there's a book of TMG for physics (i forgot the writer name maybe something malhotra) it was a really good book it also consists many questions and concepts of your foundation (it is a book for early jee aspirants), some questions are even of mains level. you'll love it as it has each typology of question including boards so you won't get away from your board prep

360 is considered the lowest three digit no. with 24 factors.
      Making it easier to calculate.
For example: when nos. Like 100 are divided into 3 parts, the answer is 33.333..., which is quite complex for other calculations.
