I was there on the launch site yesterday with my family. First time watching a rocket launch on site. You must do it if you have a chance, it's sooooooo impressive!
Just watched the launch on site and its amazing!! But everyone is saying it carries some kind of spy satellite...normal sat dont neccecrily need the rocket this scale and it is even the extended verison compare to the previous model of long march 5....Can anyone explain?
This is also not LM-5B. LM-5 first stage does not enter orbit, hence it re-enters quickly on a suborbital trajectory (with landing zone pre-programed), instead of staying in orbit for several days.
The launch vehicle of this mission is by far the tallest one built by China.

Excellent amazing great China 🇨🇳
I love this Long March 5 variant ❤️
That satellite must be huge, otherwise they wouldn't use CZ5 to send it to GTO.
W/ a 4m main mirror which was said to have 2.5m ocean surface resolution at GTO.

Just an agricultural satellite.XD
啊哈哈哈哈昨晚我也在内场,505的A区
so why the big rocket with the small payload????
Who said it’s small? :-)
Great Launxh. .. 😎😎😎
Congratulations to China.
I find it weird that they are using CZ-5 for the Yaogon when Long March 2C or 2D can do that just fine
这次胖5技术有更新升级,发射卫星的同时测试新整流罩!
do you even know what yaogan means? It's China's keyhole family.
The launch this time is probably the Chinese version of the unmanned long endurance space shuttle
No, that was yesterday on a Long March-2F launch vehicle
@@SciNewsRo Oh, okay, thank you
How come mainstream media aren’t reporting the risk of LM5 falling back to earth this time?
When you tell people the same thing several times and it doesn’t happen, people tend not to believe or care anymore.

I see. Thank you for explaining @@Cklodar
It must a laaaaarge satellite.🤔
and booster roulette...
+1% space militarization
Oh its already 100%, nevermind
Maybe 40 years later we will know what it actually is.
