Aww that was so sweet, you did your $5 challenge. Nothing wrong with taking her to get her nails done, or hair. And taking her out for a nice lunch. Flowers, jewelry, her favorite chocolates. Mostly anything that will do some "you and her" time. The more personal, the more moms love it. The more you put thought into it. The more she will love it.
8:18 I like to have as little cash as possible in the house; it feels safer to not, and I live in an area that is not at all 'dangerous'. Also, since it's a HYSA, the more that's physically in there, the more you're earning. I'm sure your mom appreciated getting some cash so she can spend it however she wants :)
As well as College hauls; I would definitely consider doing a packing, moving in to dorm, etc. I’m sure by now you have some students watching your channel that would love to see these videos as well as all of us! Great job and I love how generous you were to your mom!
Definitely do a dorm room haul. Include prices if you're comfortable doing so, so any soon to be new student/parent of a student has an idea of how much it can cost. You might consider condensing some of your binders so the envelopes don't break. Maybe make it a practice to deposit money into the bank when you get $100 in the envelope. That way you are limiting the amount of cash in your house and gaining interest.
I would love to see your dorm haul and maybe your trip spending video. Your video can be what you spend (unstuff) your money on and not just how much you stuff into your envelopes. Both are important for good money management.
Do a Pigly Wiggly, Kroger or Walmart haul as soon as you land. Any grocery store. Buy only the essentials. Eggs etc. Anything extra, only do as a treat for 1 or 2 nights. Unless you plan on not eating out at all. If you are going with a few friends... Each of you put something towards a grocery haul.be mindful and frugal. Bread, eggs, protein (meat, beans) and a few produce. Keep in mind how long you will be there, and if your hotel or cabin has a fridge, grill, kitchen... If none of that, then only shop for basics and do coupons or specials everywhere you eat.

Safe bet, do $500 for your trip. And if you stay anywhere
.... Get groceries up ahead of time to avoid eating out all the time.
