I recently purchased a new 7 model and I've been very impressed with it. Love the fact it doesn't need power from my bike battery, but instead he as its own internal battery. Simple set up and great peace of mind that my bike is protected. The Monimoto 7 has the lowest subscription fee of any tracker I found, $49/ yr. in the US.
I would strongly suggest not to put the tracker fob on your keyring as bike jacking is on the increase especially in London. Get kicked off your bike at some traffic lights and the fob is gone along with the tracker!
I have an MM6, I tested it and whilst it alerts the GPS seems not to be so reliable. Could you please simulate a theft and then try to find the bike with the app. This would be a much more realistic review. I think it would be quite tricky to actually locate the bike, esp in a built up area.
The only fee is a 3 EUR/ 3.5 USD/ 2.7 GBP monthly fee, billed annually after the first two free months. Payment is conducted via the Monimoto app. hope this helps
Hello when you set the moni moto up initially. after that do you have to have Bluetooth enabled on your phone for it to work or is that just for the initial setup.
Do you know perhaps, that if someone tilts my bike to the side the tracker gets triggered for that? I didn't find any video, about testing the minimal impact that needs to trigger the alarm.
Hi. Yes if the tracker senses movement it will trigger. Had it on mine a couple of times where I had for got the key and moved it in the garage and it set of straight away. A bit of movement but not minimal but not excessive to set it off. Hope that helps
Monimoto suggest you don’t put the key fob on your bike keys. If your keys get stolen with the bike the system is rendered useless until you realise it is gone and manually activate tracking via your phone app.
Actually you can find the bike even if the fob is lost or taken with the bike by just going to the app and clicking on "Start active tracking". The gps will show you where the bike is. It's pretty hard to fool the Monimoto.
I swear to God, I don't know what to make of these reviews. It's like watching the "Two Ronnies". Nice review though. I bought the first version (MM6 version) but ended up never using it because I didn't realize that the bike would come with the Datatool system. I didn't fancy running around with two large keyfobs taking up all the space on my keyring. However, Toby makes a good point about thieves knowing where the factory fitted system is, not a secondary option. Maybe I will give the new system a try, especially if it's more compact.
Bought one today, here in Texas, and it does not work. I placed it in several different locations on my motorcycle (thinking there may be interference) and did a test run. Never got one phone call that bike moved. Very disappointed.

Its too big for many bikes , kinda dissapointed in the size of the new unit was going to purchase one but think ill look at other trackers now .

I tried that myself and it worked perfectly. We were able to find the bike easily and could track it's movement right to the hiding place.

Just the initial set up as the app controls everything. The fob is what connects to the tracker

Did you move the key fob far enough away from the unit as it may have still been in range and therefore wouldn’t give you an indication

I would buy a tracker if I didn't have theft insurance. No tracker I get a new bike from my insurance.
Criminals can get signal stopper for under £50 whats makes most trackers useless. Think twice before spending money on tracker 🤔
