‼ADDITIONAL POINTS: on top of what I mentioned in the video, you can also gain plus 10 relationship points with Fang and X (and everybody else) when donating food before the dance off, and donating money (1500 gols) during the fireside meeting where construction of the new bridge is discussed. Thanks for the tips, guys! Also, despide what is shown in the video, 20 is NOT the maximum available amout of friendship points to be awarded at once.
I found that there are times at town meetings where you can give donations to the town that gives you friendship points with everyone including Fang. 2,000 gives you 10 friendship points with him if I remember correctly.
I got full hearts and it wasnt so hard as everyone is saying honestly. I ran over there every day after testing his medicine the first time, then i befriended Mort and X, and that added things with Fang, then i started giving him diamonds, then large storage boxes and POFF, full friendship. Cant date him yet, but hopefully next update will let us have him
How is a doctor that is always looking for new ingredients for his experiments not tasking us with finding rare or mutant plants and organs for him to study? Is Fang like a personal Troll character of the dev?
I'm guessing Fang's either aggressively independent (which he kinda is😄), or his potential commissions/requests involve some mechanics or parts of the map or assets that are not yet in the game.
The main reason I bought this game was because of Fang, lol. I saw his picture on the Steam page, and was immediately curious and interested. I did some research, and I already had Portia, so I bought it. I've put in about 14 hours over the past few days, and had my first week of his medical trials! Sadly I got the stinky effect both times, lol. He's definitely who I plan to marry, so I can't wait for his additional quests early August! Also marriage is around Xmas, what a great present from the devs. Thanks for this video, I often wondered where he was when I went to his clinic and couldn't find him. I didn't know he wandered.
It’s nice to find out I’m not the only easily obsessed one. Fang is the man I will marry, even if it’s a companionate marriage because he’s ace/aro, and even if the bird craps in the bed. Because he pushes all my buttons, and I’m shallow.
For anyone who just came across this it appears they fixed this issue in a quality of life update, fang is still a difficult boi but since this I believe they added a skill that will help you befriend fang easer.
I am determined to date Fang and have X at 3.5 hearts and I am on 20th Fall first year. I have been giving X only alfalfa and I continue to get friendship points.
I think its safe to say its thanks to you my determination to marry this man is through the roof HAHAHA i was kinda aiming for Qi but i can't resist fang anymore HAHAHAH also youre really funny i couldnt stop laughing XD
Thanks! Well, it's been a while and it's no longer so insanely difficult to get close to the good doctor. He has so much content nowadays, but he still requires jumping through some hoops. Glad I helped :D Qi is a darling. A nerdy know-it-all and somewhat condescending at that, but a darling nonetheless :)

@@marikohayashi3845 Funnily enough I haven't married anyone so far, not even Fang (I'm waiting for the full release, as there's bound to be more content) :) I did Fang's romance quest, and I dated a couple of other characters, including Logan. I think most of them are worth it, but some stories are still unfinished. In terms of wether Fang's better now that we know more about him... well - he certainly is different than I initially thought. Without spoiling anything, it's an intense ride, that's for sure.
@@marikohayashi3845 Frankly, when I tried romanicing him there wasn't that much content. You just gave him the heart knot and if he accepted you could start going on dates and that was it. But I remember his compliments were nerdy masterpieces :)
I would jump on the boxes to interact with X during clinical trials. Give him gifts when he flies around solo. I wasn’t pursuing fang at all and was able to become his buddy before the second year
I'm now married to Fang and to be honest I appreciate how the developers planned Fang's romance route. He doesn't open to anyone so it pretty much make sense how slow it would take for him to open up to the builder. It's abit realistic unlike some games where you can just spam-gift them. It took me around year 3 before I got married to him since I was waiting for the main story to be completed 😂
The third preview of the update said: "The social system has been updated, allowing you to choose your favorite in-town character, approach, play/date, and romance them (Eligible in-town characters are romanceable, except for Fang, but you can interact with Fang and gift him now)." I'm afraid lol, that he will be not romanceable anymore. >.
@@leafandgames I'm glad that I was wrong. He is romanceble, but they will add his romance in December ^^. For now I just wish that his mouth would move lol
@@leafandgames LMAO for that. But with all the pepper food I give him xD. It is a bug (his voice comes out of a closed mounth it's kind of annoying and this just happens to him) but I'm sure the devs are with their heads full atm, so I'll wait.
I haven’t tried Sandrock yet but I really hope the developers will be a bit more merciful and make befriending Fang easier. If all this is done intentionally and there are no plans of changing this, then it’s really annoying gameplay and does not sound fun.
It’s broken for everyone. Sometimes his lip movements don’t sync up with the English dialogue-they must be for the Chinese dialogue. Fingers crossed that he gets more dialogue and improved lip movements in the update.
@@mrjones2721 oh thanx. Yeah they must fix that in the next update. His lips move sometimes for you? They never moved in my game so far lol. Its good to know that is not broken just for me. They will fix that for sure. Next update will come with side stories for Fang

@@winterzirael To be honest I suspect it's broken on purpose. Wether they let us date Fang after the next update probably depends on how much of the main story will be added. I admit, I don't have the patience to work for 5 hearts with him, so I don't know how his dialogue changes as we gain more friendship, but I know that even as a buddy he says some things that suggest he's very involved in the main story. And you just reminded me of a video I wanted to make about this :) Thanks!

i am in my first winter i can give fang give a long time ago we can gidt him after the quest with Arvio when we kidnap X for be fang friend fang gonna be angry but after X gonna tel us we can try be friend with wirh apologies and then now i have more than 3 heart but i still cant date him 😅 but i not gonna give up look this beautilful face is enough 😂

The update patch note says that still won't let Fang date, but at least he'll be able to accept gifts now 😐
To me he could be a non verbal autistic man , and X is not only his family but an assistive animal like a guide dog.
I was able to finally go on a date with him only after 1 year. 1 year KARL!

I think Fang will always be a bit difficult to befriend, but as far as I know he will have quests for us, so it should be a lot easier.

If we're lucky he should become romanceable soon. Perhaps before the end of this year.
